  1. Internal oil belt a future problem on a Bronco ?

How could it not? it's the same principal and the evidence seems to be clear. It especially bothers me that it could be dropping chunks into the oil beforehand..... I've have several issues related to bad design already that were not part of any recall and should be, including rear engine seal...
  2. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

My dealer told me it's a phased recall, they're doing 26's first then older vehicles.
  3. Future of the 2.7L?

I could see Ford moving the 3.0 down to lower trims and dropping the 5.0 into the raptor to better compare with the jeep 392. The 2.7 was always the "tweener" engine between the 2.3 and the 3.0/3.5. Pickups are going to be interesting though.... GM may take a big bite out of Fords lunch as...
  4. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

This truck has more recalls and known issues than all the other vehicles I've purchased new combined and that's a hefty number. I'll grant that many are software related those didn't exist on older vehicles. It's the "known issues" that are not recall related like leaky rear engine seal...
  5. Bronco Raptor - Daily Driving Concerns?

Bah, I back into spots no problem, and if some clown tries to bang his door into mine he gets introduced to my running boards. 80k, 4 years no door dingers....
  6. Bronco Raptor - Daily Driving Concerns?

Mine is my daily driver, 83k so far. No issues with the wider axles, keep in mind its the axles that are wider not the actual body. I've found it to be WAY more stable in windy or stormy situations that a standard bronco. I've not had any issues fitting in any parking garage either. The ride and...
  7. 2.7 oil pump belt failed at 254,577 mi (Reddit post)

Nope, just never seen a mechanical pump fail, oh sure it's possible, cranks snap, lifters break etc etc Belts on the other hand will wear out. Gm did this on their small diesel as well. They recommend changing it every 150k, it's on the back of the engine also and requires the engine be pulled...
  8. 2.7 oil pump belt failed at 254,577 mi (Reddit post)

Wow, I'm soooo bringing my truck to you when the time comes lol...... I'm sure most techs will go by the book though... I've got 220k on my gen 1 raptor with no plans to ditch it, I plan on keeping my BR for the foreseeable future as well..... to be honest, it's the complexity of the...
  9. 2.7 oil pump belt failed at 254,577 mi (Reddit post)

I think what bothers me about something like this is that you have to pull the engine to access it. ANY belt will fail unlike a gear driven system, this should of been designed as a something that could be checked and replaced as it wears out. This is another example of saving a dollar per...

I PMed you the VIN. I checked both an SCT programmer and my whipple tomahawk v2, neither one could find a code.... I checked with my dealer and they want to check the wiring harness for corrosion.

  12. Brake Pads and Right to Repair

John deere just got hammered for not allowing owners and service shops to fix deere equipment. I've ordered a taillight form that website and they also insisted on a vin..... I told them to STOP asking, I was sure of the part number and they backed off.....it's just them. I've got 80k on my...
