12? good craft beer comes in packs of 4 :p
I will beg to differ, I am not big on the way the craft market has shifted. The market trend of super hopped and hazy just leads to bad cans way to often. They sit on shelves way longer, I am back to 12 packs vendors or glass.

Tru dat. Lots of poorly executed craft beers floating around. On the flip side, there's an interesting documentary or article (I don't remember which?) on Schlitz, which was the dominant beer in the 60's and 70's (like bigger than Bud ever was). Then there was a shoot-in-foot-multiple-times series of events in the 70's and Schlitz sunk like the Titanic. At the time there were lots of regional and branded beers, like sports teams or venues had what we'd call microbreweries (Houston had Cobra that was sold only at the Astrodome).

One of the reasons it all came apart? They stopped caring about the product and was selling literally fetid beer. Steven King wrote a short story that used it as a backdrop back then. The fallout from that led to laws championed by AB in many states that shut down smaller brewers for "safety" since I think some people died?

And that's how Texas lost all but two or three microbreweries for decades, until recent times (St. Arnolds, Shiner and another I can't remember the name of). It all comes around again.

Deschutes abyss... 12 pack? about $100... well worth it.

Immeasurable depth and complexity. Hints of molasses, licorice and other alluring flavors make it something not just to quaff, but contemplate.

I can very much attest to the depth and complexity....

Like this, but not the 12 pack?

You have to purchase all of them as individuals or as a four pack to get to 12.... I love a beer that gets better with age.... That 13 is going to be excellent.

Yeah, an old friend of mine is really really into craft beer and he'd always tell me what to get and keep. I haven't been keeping up with it for a while, but I still have a small stash. I also have two bottles of Dogfish Head 120 from 2011. One day I'll just give it to him, I stopped drinking.

that would be me... I have a couple hundred $$$ in my beer cellar, its mostly all barrel aged stuff. During the covid years I had over couple hundred bottles, but I have cut back since then buying soo much because well like everything else $hits excessivly expensive these days like paying $22 for a 4 pack on a decent craft beer. Its the same syndrom as bourbon drinkers which I am but I stay away and just drink it casually.
