Got a hookup on a ranger raptor tcase?Another thought would be, is the Ranger raptor transfer case different than the bronco raptor?

I have a friend with a RR that I can go crawl underGot a hookup on a ranger raptor tcase?
Personally I would be happy with the 2- speed. I know Loren Healy put one in, but there were no details only pictures but that Bronco got wadded falling off the trailer into a ditchMy part time case has been good, no chain noises! The fact 2.72 ratio works means we should have some compatibility with a 4 Speed Atlas. Really just need to focus on what sensors we currently have in the transfer case and how to dummy them out.

That is a real disappointment right thereThis is the video where I had the “ah ha!” moment realizing there was no mechanical lockup!
It really is. I’m tempted to order a second new clutch just so I can get it swapped sooner and test it out to see if it fixes the problem. Then when Suncoast is done coating the other new one maybe some comparisons could be made to see if it feels any differentThat is a real disappointment right there![]()
Be nice if they had one. But they don’t show shit, even in the parts catalog. The only diagram it shows using a raptor VIN is the one with the clutch in it. It doesn’t even give me a listing for a complete transfer case.Need a breakdown on that tcase to see if there is indeed a mechanical lockup for it. @Ducati1098 do you have anything like that?
Ask him if you can pull the cover off realllllllll quick. You’ll need an E12. And a drain pan. Rtv. 32mm socket. Remove driveline. Fifteen minutes topsI have a friend with a RR that I can go crawl under
Found one for $2100. Tempted to just order it even though we don’t conclusively know this whole clutch idea is even the problem.Be nice if they had one. The workshop manual doesn’t say anything about a mechanical lock up, but it also wouldn’t be the first time that’s been wrong
As far as the transmission, all Broncos use a 10R60. The Braptor has a few internal parts that are different to make it a little stronger, but they’re practically identical.
I mean none of the DTCs that you showed me the other week would lead me to believe you had any type of a clutch issue. Or am I confused and this is about something else?Found one for $2100. Tempted to just order it even though we don’t conclusively know this whole clutch idea is even the problem.
No this is all part of the same saga. The list of DTC’s has grown extensively, but 2H has no problems every day after wheeling then again trouble free for the 500+ miles home. Dealer has all the codes saved in the computer, but can’t replicate the issue and haven’t found any problems with the modules. So I figure I might as well change something rather than hope it magically fixed itself. At least do something to try narrowing down the issue.I mean none of the DTCs that you showed me the other week would lead me to believe you had any type of a clutch issue. Ahh okay. I wasn’t aware you got a bunch more codes. No this is all part of the same saga. Well the one in the video was caused by incorrect towing. Had nothing to do with 4A. While that video does give a great idea of how everything works, that technician is a complete idiot lolWe have obviously had a few people running around in 4A all the time that have smoked the tcase clutch pack... I do not think there have been a lot but there was one in the video above and then the F150s..... I wonder what codes they were throwing...
Were they towing in 4A? because (I do not know and I am asking you the expert) I would think the clutches should not have been engaged at all if they were in 2H.... There fore they should not have been smoked right?Well the one in the video was caused by incorrect towing. Had nothing to do with 4A. The clutch will throw an overheating DTC most likely If I remember correctly. I’ll see if I can find it.
Okay I’m not going to post them all, but it seems the clutch and the actuator that controls it are very well monitored because it watches a ton of stuff.I wonder what codes they were throwing...
That does make sense.Okay I’m not going to post them all, but it seems the clutch and the actuator that controls it are very well monitored because it watches a ton of stuff.
