I've been trying so hard to not reply to this, but I can't help myself. The level of sheer audacity astounds me. I go and check your threads and updates because that shit is badass. Not for me (my budget really), but man, mad respect for what you and your wife are doing to her ride. That's just cool as shit, and all of those mods have PURPOSE (unlike 37s on a truck that doesn't do anything that requires them). And your wife's out there with a MFin welder doing it HERSELF. Not installing some cheap chicom light kits...she's out there welding in long travel suspensions to go with her front portals (I think; you have so many damned wildtraks it's hard to keep track of), and it doesn't count, because her stock wheels do what they are supposed to do and don't require replacement? If I were that dude I'd be ashamed thinking that his fake beadlocks are somehow more legit than...the contents of your build thread. I'd be surprised if you don't have more money wrapped up in just your mods (not even going to count the fact that it's Wildtrak 3 or 4) than he has in his entire 'build'.

Well, to be fair, in this particular video she was “only” descending one of the harder obstacles on a level eight trail, so you can’t see all the welding. Wait-even on the ground you can’t easily see it especially after we lowered it, but even if you could you need to know what’s going on “behind the scenes” to know what was changed.

He did not take me up on the offer to pay for his fuel and lodging to get to Sand Hollow and wheel with us. Only stipulation is that he must do every obstacle she does, without a spotter. *sad, lonely noises start playing*

Do we need to talk about the mini-assholes touching cars at car shows?
Just saw that happen recently, kid grub fucking a Super Bee ... owner was super polite, "Please don't touch the cars."

Of course entitled Dad /Chad/Karen got upset because HIS little asshole could NEVER do any wrong ..."it's just a kid, relax..."
I ALMOST spoke up ... but instead, just let it fade away.... not my fight today.

It’s not neurotic or selfish to want the things you worked hard for to be respected with common-sense personal space (or respect).
It’s the entitled audacity that is the root issue.

I don’t get angry when it does happen.
Mine does not live in a climate controlled bubble of safety.

It’s not an absolute all-or-nothing thing.
People don’t want their shit messed with. Period. Even if it is dirty or has trail damage, it’s not an open invitation to go help oneself to the personal space of others’ investment.
When it happens I retrieve it, pass it along to some kid along the way as a gesture of good will.

Pretty much about how I feel as well , but it doesn't bother me if/when I get ducked.

Should the kids not touch cars at car shows? Absolutely. "Please don't touch the car" is an adequate response. No need for anything else. A curious kid is what makes the world go 'round. Those are pivotal moments of development. A kind owner who realizes it's just a hunk or steel could teach a child a nice lesson and get the kid interested in cars for life. Too many Karens in this world today.

These are just cars people. If you're that worried about a kid getting handprints on your wax job or some dust on your chrome, you can't afford it and you're just a poser. I love when people want to come up and see my cars. I let the parents look and the kids sit in the seat. Who gives a shit. In a few years we'll all be long gone and the cars will be recycled into cheap chinese steel for appliances anyway

Tagging another Bronco. What should we use? Here's the thing about Jeep Ducks. They are cheap, easy to get, and come in so many different combinations that they're cool. Every Jeeper has a stash, and they are 30 - 40 cents each.

Everything I see people putting on a Bronco is $3 to $5 and varies so much from horseshoes to horses. To make it work, the community would need to settle on 1 thing, and it has to be relatively inexpensive.

I'm gonna answer before I get 9 pages in. The problem with the ducks is that they are cheap and crappy, and the only reason someone would keep them is to be proud of being "ducked." A lot of those either get trashed or re-ducked. I opted for something a little higher quality, hopefully something someone might actually keep. Or if they don't, maybe they'll pass it along to someone rather than just toss it. You can get these on Amazon for .75 each, which IMO is a much better giveaway for not much more money. I don't give a ton away, so the price difference is probably a couple of cups of Starbucks or a fast-food meal in a year.

And, for @EvilJim1971 's sake, I have perfected the art of leaving one of these behind without actually touching the Bronco.

Even by mall crawler standards your rig dominates him. You're on 40s, right? He's only on 37s. I just can't fathom what it takes to jump on "stock wheels". Aren't you running legit beadlocks on your stockers just to add insult to injury? I doubt homie can even fit your tires/wheels on his "build".

I don't for a second believe they do it to bring joy and cheer to anyone but themselves. They do it for the social cred, kind of like the kids doing the tidepod challenge a few years back. It's a jeep thing, and I wouldn't understand though.
