What was the color of the other one? Antimatter?

Also, how was your view of the dash and over the hood with the seat all the way down at 5'9"?

Great write up, thank you for taking the time to present your findings.

As for the questions, not only every day, but every hour a new group comes in. Times 7 or 8 new hourly groups every day and they have done this a hundred times already.

Like you said, imagine getting total newbies on one extreme and "stump the rep" on the other end. It has to be painful.

I go Thursday and I have decided I am not asking a single question. I'm just going to thank them compliment the product.
100% - I had zero questions. I was just listening to their answers to people's questions to see if how accurate they were. ;) There were a couple people asking if they should order now.

I just wanted to sit and touch it all day..... ba dum bump

The more I see this BD, the more happy I am with my BD order... Especially when I see the steelies
The tires on them make them much more rugged looking. The aggressive tread makes all the difference vs the tread on the OB that was there.

It was Black.

It was fine. It is a pretty tall seating position. Feels that way anyways. I would still put my seat all the way down.

All i know is that the more i see of the BD, the happier i am that i went with it for our families use. We wouldn't use squach (those who picked it are gonna love it for sure though), it just isn't something we need and the base BD seems to be tough looking enough for us. Love that interior too! Thanks for sharing your impressions!

I went to the Livermore showing today. I had a reservation at Serramonte yesterday, but had to cancel a few hours before due to work. Someone on this forum tipped me off to Livermore today and I was able to get a 4pm reservation just hours before. It was not crowded at all so I was in and out in 20 minutes.

I've been reading tons of stuff here over the past year so have a pretty good handle on things, but I was mostly curious about interior room. For reference I'm 6'4" with longer legs (36.5" cycling inseam if that means anything to anyone here). I was stoked that I could get a comfortable driving position. The powered seats are odd in that the tilt mechanism is build in to the height and not independent. Either way I put the seat all the way down and like the thigh support tilted up a bit. The steering wheel being smaller and with a good range on the tilt and telescoping allows me to have ample thigh room. The bummer is the back seat is tighter than I would have thought from looking at the specs online. I wouldn't expect someone my height to ride behind me as the driver, but I crammed myself in there to see what it would be like. I would need my knees on either side of the seat and right next to the door panel. The soft top was down so I couldn't tell for sure, but I think my head may be right at the roof as well. My kids will likely fit, but we won't have a ton of extra room. On vacations 4-8 hours away we may end up taking two vehicles with all of the gear we tag along.

The bull bar was the original height and looked decent. It will protect from some minor things, but it is very close to the grill and not super strong. If I held the top of it I could move it back and forth slightly. All the aftermarket parts will likely be stronger, but add weight to a vehicle that already doesn't have a massive payload.

I was curious how the rock rails mounted so snapped a quick photo.

At this point I'm just rambling, but I'll confirm with nearly everyone that the MGV felt soft and nice; however, the leather felt thicker and more quality than I was imagining from past Ford vehicles I've owned. I'm happy the FE will have the Molle panels on the back of the front seats.

Oh yeah, they turned on the B&O screen and stereo for me and it sounded decent considering the top was off, 1 door was off and it was in a big showroom. It certainly didn't sound like a super high end stereo from my car stereo days, but it wasn't offensive. The 12" screen is super nice.

I came away excited, but not stoked on the rear seat room.

Oh yeah, like everyone else I wish they would have had a Badlands SAS or FE to view.
