Okay so I fired up for scan and downloaded a new one year license. ( here... https://iobd.io/forscan )Went on there and got in the" dashboard oscilloscope table"... then selected from the menu the chcm. And then selected a bunch of options on it and then ran it there.

I have found that the chcm module only has the functions of operating the stay bar, so it leads me to believe that the models like the base or the wild tract that don't have an electronic sway bar disconnect most likely do not even have this module. Which would also explain WHY, when I was trying to run an as-built explorer tool, I could not find the chCM module on the wildtrak VIN I was trying to run.

So at this point it looks like the solution really would be to locate the module if it exists separately from something else, you could simply remove it unplug it and then see if all the trigger functions for the dash Christmas tree don't go off any longer. For example it has a long list of triggers or red flags that cause it to be un-operational or not disconnect, and some of those will certainly throw idiot lights on the dash.

Alternatively it is possible that this module is located inside of another module, and in that case you would need fdrs and event change to activate the chCM or deactivate it, Maybe.

Yeah the CHCM is a completely separate module only for vehicles equipped with the sway bar disconnect, so I don't see any way someone would be able to remove it via programming. And unplugging it is likely just going to set even more or the exact same warnings.

Well I'll be tearing my Bronco all the way down to the Bear Frame here soon so I don't mind isolating this module and unplugging it I just need to know where it's located?

It is, of course, where the sun don't shine.

Behind the driver's side rear trim panel, basically right above the rear tire.

Mine was easier to locate and unplug then most folks cuz I got all the seats and carpet and plastic already removed for the half cab pickup. I had to relocated this module ahead of the fender in a cubby that exists behind what is normally covered by plastic. I pulled out the module and unplugged it and played with the controls on checked out the functions. There are no idiot lights that come on for a sway bar on the dash whatsoever, however drive modes are not available. Both front and rear Locker still work, as does one pedal drive. I was able to shift to low range and high range and all-wheel drive additionally besides two wheel drive no issues so there you have it. I'm certain it would take some fooling around with foreskan to change one or two of the other modules likely the ABS module and to get it to function like a wild track. On another note I looked up the part and could tell that it's also used on the Raptor Bronco, so that means to me that the programming inside that relates to the speed that it disconnects 20 mph on normal Bronco versus 40 miles an hour on BRaptor... is not controlled by this module alone, more likely controlled by a different module that sets a red flag condition for over speed and causes this module to reconnect the sway bar at the set speed.

Lastly, forscan list this module as not writable and read-only...so you can't reprogramming it very easy or at all.

Update I plugged in the laptop and pulled up for scan and wanted to see where there were error codes. It threw a code and the ABS module. Also in the IPC module also in the Sima module. So you would need to probably download the as built for wildtrak or a base and then compare it with those other modules as built. You may be able to eliminate some of the issues however if this wiring harness has a return communication line to any of the other modules you would need to somehow connect the two wires together, possibly maybe long shot🤪

Nice! I'll try that this weekend. Can you check and see if your cruise control still works?

Another approach to this could be to see what the module expects to see when the sway bar is both engaged and disengaged. If an adapter can be made up that plugs into the disconnect harness that just returns the expected values. Don't know if this would be easier.

I'd love this idea... I could disconnect at any speed, mode.

Looks like this thread died but asking if OP or anyone found a solution? Spent a lot of time on making this work including building a couple different adapters to fool the CHCM. We can get it to work but not stable, just randomly throws codes every so often. The Badlands/Raptor front sway disconnect might be the most overengineered thing Ford has done, and that takes a lot.

Just cut the bars off and leave the motor hooked up
Won't work. Throws Yaw sensor in the first big turn.

For me, I have found this my favorite part of the truck these days :sneaky:

Challenge withdrawn for me 🤠

Okey doke. Lack of ability to disengage front sway bar in 2wd is my least favorite part but guess I will just have to physically disconnect it. Thanks for responding
