I've had no problems with the KO2 37x12.5x17 C rated tires I have. They aren't much heavier than the stock Goodyears (maybe 9 lbs) and they run small so closer to a 36. The spare fits without a bracket to lift the 3rd brake as well. If you go with aftermarket wheels, they will probably be lighter than the stock Sas wheels so you might even be within 4-6 lbs of stock with a C rated 37.

Edit: It looks like the stock Sas wheels are around 35-36 lbs and the ProComp wheels I have are around 24 lbs so the 9-10 lb increase in tire weight over the stock Goodyears is netted out by the 11-12 lbs of weight savings with the wheel. So in my situation there is no change in the wheel/tire weight vs stock Sas. A true 37 tire in D, E or F rating will probably weigh 8+ lbs or more.

Anyone heard of iron head thrasher r/t tires? Looking at them online and pretty nice price, realize when it comes to tires you tend to get what you pay for, but have good experience on a previous truck with and r/t tire.
just thought the tread pattern in the iron head thrashers looked pretty well. Just curious if you or anyone has used them.
My 2 cents:

It’s easy to copy, or nearly copy a tread pattern. Most of the AT/RT/MT tires are pretty close in pattern as it is

But that doesn’t tell you anything about the construction or material. Tire compound matters a lot. Internal construction matters a lot. Quality control (i.e. balancing, longevity, noise) matters a lot.

Now there are some less expensive brands out there that are just fine. And there are a lot where you are just wasting your money. So it’s a gamble - or at least a bigger gamble then when you are paying premium for a brand name that has a reputation to uphold and will more than likely honor a warranty

Good point!! Very true when a company has been around with a solid name brand. A few of the comments I did like in regards to the iron head thrasher was people saying quality control seems to be solid with not many reporting balancing issues, or defects and the few that did, the company was on point with sending out a new tire.

The BRaptor comes stock with 37's, is it the same gate and hinges as sasquatch? What do the stock Braptor tire wheel combo weigh?

If you’re planing to run 37’s…

IMPO upgrading to a reinforced tire carrier is mandatory. Eventually that weight will cause issues.

I would personally prefer a aftermarket bumper with twin swing outs, but I’ve yet to find one that fits my needs. For now, I’m running the TOR tailgate reinforcement & tire carrier.

Not all brands sizing claims are accurate, most run small. Personally I’m a huge fan of the Kenda Klever RT.

This is no joke. I can relate. Tire rotation day is harder than cardio day at the gym any more
Does this count if it's a RAPTOR spare ? :)

seriously though, I week after i got my raptor (used) my landscaper hit the driver's front tire with his trailer. Punctured the tire. He was cool, got me a new one that day. We put the spare on the driver's front, the next day they had a new one mounted. I was ready to help the kid lift and slide the spare back on, he grabbed it from the middle flipped and hoisted it right on the carrier. Makes you feel inadequate. :(

NO experience with tire carriers , but I'd vote for the TOR carrier as well, second only to a swing out bumper carrier. Cost being the primary concern between the two.
I'd have serious thoughts about hanging a 37 off the factory carrier for the long term. Even with no offroading, I've been on Michigan's highways ... not exactly smooth sailing. It would be death by a million bumps.

As far as tires, I personally would not consider "No Name" tires on a daily driver.
Some folks will run them and LOVE them, others will hate them.
It will vary on your expectations.

Also, the factory sasquatch tires have been getting VERY good feedback for their winter manners also, which should be a consideration in Michigan.
So maybe you can keep the factory wheel/tire set up for the winters, in case the el cheapos don't do very well?

Hi
Just joined the group and wanted to ask if any of you had your spare 37 on the factory spare tire carrier without any reinforcement? I’m looking to upgrade mine to 37 and want to put spare 37 on original spare carrier without reinforcement. I only will be using Bronco for daily driver, hunting blind and fishing hole . No real off roading, wanted your opinion if you had time.
thanks
Adam
Your scoop at first look assumed you had a bronco Raptor, but no. We have two bronco Raptors, daily drivers, stock tire size is 37s. We have had no issues with the 37 spare on the back, with the exception aftermarket wheels did produce a larger gap between tire and 3rd brake light. I think all bronco body parts have the same durability and functionality no matter the Trim. I think your good to go 37 all around.

Is there a thread comparing how the raptor is running 37s stock vs the other broncos? Maybe off topic but just curious if there was. I might be wording it wrong in the search...

Not exactly sure what you mean but,

the Raptor suspension is entirely different and taller.
Raptor fender flares are MUCH MUCH bigger.
Drivetrain and axles are different.
Wheels are different (F150 bolt pattern).

Most any bronco with a "good" suspension lift and crash bar removal can run 37s. No matter what you do to a non Raptor bronco, you cannot turn it in to a Raptor. You may get better (BadAss Broncos 150K coyote powered), you will probably get worse, but you will not get the OEM Raptor package.
