Hi
Just joined the group and wanted to ask if any of you had your spare 37 on the factory spare tire carrier without any reinforcement? I’m looking to upgrade mine to 37 and want to put spare 37 on original spare carrier without reinforcement. I only will be using Bronco for daily driver, hunting blind and fishing hole . No real off roading, wanted your opinion if you had time.
thanks

Going be honest with you I’d still get a reinforcement of some sort. Even tho you’re just daily driving your still likely to hit bumps of some sort not worth potentially damaging the tailgate or hinges but that my 2 cent. Happy thanksgiving 🦃

Wanted to try keeping my FORD decal if I do reinforcement if at all possible. Will have to shop around I guess.

Turn Offroad re-enforcement will still let that show. May be easier to just replace it though. The TOR kit is nice and one of the strongest available but costs more than the standard plates do

Hell my upgrade to 35's was enough to have my tailgate popping. I have a big bend Non SAS so it had the weaker spare carrier. I ended up going the costly method and got the Expedition One rear bumper with swing out carrier. Maybe you could get away with the stock carrier if your Bronco came with SAS and you find really light tires. I know there are a couple out there that weigh about the same as the SAS stock 35" but the stock tires are already really light.

Thanks, yes it’s the Sasquatch package, I’ve noticed tailgate max weight allowed on other forums was 135lbs, so I’ll see what tire and wheel weigh.

I have a 37" and steel wheels on mine with no extra support. About 109lbs, no noises or problems. I wheel it hard and just about jump it when the opportunity is there.

Really wow. How long have you been rocking the 37’s?

I’m learning the hard way that between the three inch lift and the weight….I’m getting too old to hoist a 37” tire that high in the air by myself.

Used the lift to get it up there. Now I’m just praying I never get a flat.😂

This is no joke. I can relate. Tire rotation day is harder than cardio day at the gym any more

Anyone heard of iron head thrasher r/t tires? Looking at them online and pretty nice price, realize when it comes to tires you tend to get what you pay for, but have good experience on a previous truck with and r/t tire.
just thought the tread pattern in the iron head thrashers looked pretty well. Just curious if you or anyone has used them.
