Hello! Have been thinking about a heated wheel lately. Has anyone considered buying one of the heated covers then running the power to one of the accessory switches? I am not sure if a dc 12 would connect up. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!

Don’t like a cold steering wheel! Was looking for a used Bronco and passed on a ton of them that didn’t have it. Good luck.

I had the recall for the block heater done recently (I live and travel in the North quite a bit), and was just a little jealous.

I've got heated gloves that are useful when I am working on those lovely nights in the teens...

Admittedly, I was surprised at how quick I got used to "oh, not too bad...was only about 30..." LOL!

Had a heated wheel and seats in the F-Type and also have seats in the XK8. I occasionally regret not having sought them out in the Grand Marquis, but the ones with them didn't have the moonroof. Order banks had closed and it appeared the LSE wouldn't be available in '06.

Every convertible vehicle should have heated seats & steering wheel as STANDARD, PERIOD.

If I could only have one, I'll take the wheel every time.... 🤠

seems the OEM heating steering wheels are available online, if you're up for the work that could be a way to go.

Agree. I use wheel way more than seats. I'll add that my bimmer convertible has a neck warmer on it as well. That's damn nice trying to get the last top down days in the fall or the first few in the spring.

I've tried the heated covers, wire gets in the way. Chopped it off and just use the cover now, and it's all you need!

I really never thought I'd appreciate this piece of the 'Lux' package as much as I do. It was on when I picked up the Bronco and I was like, "Wow, this is really NICE" on my way home.

Here's the parts list for the OEM heated wheel install on my Badlands High. Verify your part numbers with another VIN with of your same type Bronco (OBX, Badlands, Wildtrak) with Lux.

The above plus a fuse tap and fuse for micro II fuses, and a short length of red and black wire to connect the Wire Assembly to the Fuse Tap.

Not for the faint of heart (programming mostly, the install is easy), but not at all insurmountable.

I wonder where the original power was pulled from if you needed to tap a fuse. Got any pics of the install? Not something I NEED but will eventually want to retrofit.
