Hello everyone, just wondering if we are running the Motorcraft synthetic blend or the Motorcraft full synthetic in our bronco raptors? I’m about to do my first oil change and wondering what you guys are using?
Thanks

A M S O I L............and filter in all my vehicles

This.... there are screens on the turbos that can clog with lower grade oil or if the oil is not changed often enough. use the best oil you can get and change it often i.e. 5-6k or sooner.

Either of Ford's oil is fine. Full Syn has properties that are better especially for longer runs between changes. Any oil that meets Ford's specs for oil will be fine. Actually any API SP rated oil will be just fine.

All the above is true if you change your oil and filter when it is time to change it. I use an SP rated oil and change around every 5,000 miles. We could go farther but we live on a dirt road.

Another vote for AmsOil. Look, it’s your truck, run what you like, as long as it’s full synthetic.

Also, I’m a firm believer that these Ford engines like fresh oil, to keep those cam phasers under control, LOL. No, I don’t have any data, but even with AmsOil, I change more frequently than the suggested schedule.

I was always a Mobil 1 guy, but being on forums long enough people who like to get their oil analyzed and are over meticulous about such things, seem to always go with Amsoil. I've never used it, and I doubt it matters that much, but I'm never going to take the time to send out my oil to be tested either - so there is that.

I've only had my oil done once on the Bronco - by the dealer - first change was free - and I did it early because - and I have no idea what brand they use. Going forward I still haven't decided what I'm gong to do, but unlike a lot of guys, I'm not overly brand loyal, and willing to switch it up.

Same here - I mostly stick to Mobile 1 if all other things are equal, but have no issue floating to another tier 1 brand if it's on sale. As long as it's full synthetic and a brand name I feel pretty safe, but I've had good luck with Mobile One for years, so I guess it's just brand recognition/trust.

I did do Amsoil for my diffs, and tried out Redline in my Trans. Not sure if it makes a huge difference, but it was there on the shelf for almost the same price, and I hope to not have to change those out very often (although I've done my rear diff like 5 times in the last year - hopefully that's done now).
