I refuse to give up my rolling rocks, so just blocked my bronco from my wifi network :D
Tough to beat a super cold rolling rock on a hot day!

I have my updates turned off. I would like to update, but do not want to lose the rolling rocks. Every single time a new person gets into my truck, they notice the rocks and make a comment on it. It was also the first thing I saw when I first got into my truck. It sounds dumb, but I guess I'm just sentimental like that.

Oh thanks, I would have never noticed until I read this thread.

No more rolling Rocks for me, just a boring Bronco graphic as shown on the OPs first post. Now that I know -I miss em

We've all seen OTA updates coming quick and steady recently... Even if Ford still generally keeps us in the dark about the specifics...
Today, I noticed a new welcome animation when getting in my 2024 HE....
I guess they're just trying to keep it fresh?
Yea apparently Ford decided the original rolling rocks screen was too nice for the Bronco and had to fuck it up.

Just got the update this week and I too miss the rolling rocks, and the better looking bronco.

I have the rolling rocks on my 22 which is UTD w/ automatic updates.

I noticed that if you get in and hit the start button too quickly it skips it and the startup animation is the blue screen/silver horse logo... but if you just open the door and watch it, the welcome screen turns on and is the rolling rocks. That's how mine is at least, lol.

Oh wow you’re way out of date on software. Not missing a ton, I think the main thing is just full screen CarPlay/Android Auto. But obviously won’t hurt anything to be out of date
Yeah. Who needs those annoying security patches 🧐

The only way for him to update is with a $500 cable and an FDRS license. I just don’t think it’s necessary if he’s not missing anything 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's all in the company you keep. I was ducked last weekend after being the only Bronco on the trail . It's sitting in my shop and not in the Bronco though, LOL.

I'll bet I have a Bronco Mascot that no one else has. Eeyore. Here's the story behind it. About 20 years ago, I had a six week stint with Bell's Palsy. For those that aren't familiar, Bell's Palsy is an unexplained episode of facial muscle weakness or paralysis. I was unable to change my very droopy looking facial expression. One of my pipe band bandmates thought I resembled Eeyore. I've had it ever since.

I just got an FDRS license yesterday to update for my bumper/winch and poke around under the hood a bit - my first time using it.

There was an update to the ACM listed, but when I went to install it, it would error out saying something to the effect of "Update already installed" on "Contacting Corporate Server" step of the update. Since it was still working (as good as it ever did) I left well enough alone and didn't fool with it any further.

Nothing listed for APIM though - which I think is where the rolling rocks makes it's home.

No other updates on FDRS for my vehicle.

I still have rolling rocks.

It is a known issue across several vehicles where the ACM doesn't come off the list after you update it with FDRS.

In terms of the APIM update not showing: You'd have to wait until Ford releases it for your VIN before you can install it; even with FDRS. Eventually, Ford will release a GWM for you on the server that once it installs, the APIM will be available to install.

I don’t see why Ford doesn’t have a “Welcome Screen Option” menu to allow people to pick between these two or a couple others opening screens? Seems like a better solution?!, I much prefer the rolling rocks, so original and well done.
