I found that when putting the center top back on and latching the big latch on the drivers side first, it seems to align better. I have had less issue with the passenger side slide latch undoing itself. Or maybe it’s just the cooler outside temps.

I’ve had soft tops for 30 years. The anti-stretch factor below 70 degrees has always been a pain. 10 years ago I switched my other vehicle soft top from black to beige, and honestly I’m still not sure that was a good idea. It always sounds great in theory.

yesterday when I put the mid section back on after a few days, I realized that it is really easy to not align it exactly, I mean like a few millimeters. This time I latched (the big latch) from the drivers side first. This seems to have reduced the daily unlatching problem to some extent.

I would say most of my issues with ’24 outer banks are petty. The black screen at start up sometimes is my main non-petty issue.

Before buying new in April, I spent a lot of time looking at Broncos on Carvana and others. Prices were all over the place and used seemed pretty high and many had a lot of mileage. When you look a lot of pics online, you can start to see the extreme wear-n-tear on some.

Yep, exact same location happens all the time. The latch is tight like you mention, but somehow it constantly works its way loose. It started after the first time I removed the entire top. Perhaps there’s some play after putting the back top section back on.

I prefer the tighter steering, acceleration and shifting in sport mode. Too bad you only get a few milliseconds to return to sport mode when you start up again.

Agreed. The only thing about keeping the key in the bronco is that if you get out while it’s running and close the door you get honked at.

I agree with another post that mentions the brittle nature of the top and can the hinge locations handle the stress in those specific points. Plus when folded back, what would the wind noise be like?

In addition, I was just stopped at a traffic light at the edge of an airport runway. When a jet flew directly overhead, the engine noise sounded loudest from the rear passenger side. All windows up…weird
