Yea, you can turn auto updates back on. There is no risk of the OTA wiping the tune. Now, if the PCM were to be updated manually with FDRS, that is a different story, but it is safe from being wiped by an OTA update.

That issue I already reported to Ford a few weeks ago. It can happen to any 2021-2024 vehicle on Sync 4. They sent out an SSM to dealers about this a few days ago. Sometimes the update installs, and other times it doesn't.

According to what Ford Performance told akturbo, that is what they want you to do to avoid problems with the Procal. What Idon't know is if Ford Performance plans to make a new tune for their customers with the updated PCM firmware or if they just plan on keeping the old software forever.

I would like to reiterate that for tuned vehicles, this "problem" is a blessing in disguise. If this OTA would go through, it would wipe your tune and most likely render your Procal device useless like what happened to akturbo on post #30.

Are you saying the ab data you pulled from motorcraft didn't line up with what your IPMB actually shows when you plugged into FORScan? First thing I would try is when you connect FORScan and it asks if you want to load the exisiting profile, select no so it does a fresh scan and then compare...

Tbh, I don't remember everything I tried. I'm pretty sure I would not have missed that. ODCV is required for it to work on Sync 4 vehicles with only an IPMA, but is possible that I missed it.

This is a known issue that has been happening to many Fords with the new Sync OTA...not just Broncos. There is something you can try that has worked for some people. Go to your auto updates page, and change the time auto updates are supposed to install. Then, turn auto updates off and back on...
