Can I get some help please? Can anyone with a Mishimoto high intercooler take some measurements for me?
First I want to say Shawn with Hammer Built is amazing to work with. I've been struggling witht his for several days and he was went far beyond what any normal salesman should to help me.
My Mishimoto intercooler hard pipes hang down about 3/8" below the frame. There's no wiggle other than many 1/16" in the hardware to lift the intercooler. I pulled up as I tightened the bolts just to make sure. Also there is only about 1/4" between top of the intercooler and the hood latch, so it can't go up much.
Also the distance between the hard pipes is about 17.3" and the outside measurment of the winch mount is about 17.8". Both of these measurements are confirmed with the manufacturers that they are correct and both say there have been no changed. I suspect Mishimoto has made changes and they are so big nobody in tech support knows about it. I can easily cut the winch mount and make the clearance for the hard pipes and then use a 3/8" spacer on each side of the mount to connect it to the frame, but I feel I'm doing something wrong. All of these parts are known to work together and Mishimoto says they haven't changed anything and Hammer Built hasn't changed anything.
Can someone who has this measure their's for comparison so I can know what is different?
I have many pics, but I have uplodaed two. One is a flat edge showing the gap between the pipes and frame and the other is the overall pic.
