Hi
I have bronco 4 doors Badlands SAS with Fox HOSS 3.0 while these shocks are very good off road that are stiff and harsh on the road where I spend most of the summer because I can't go off-roading because of my work so I searched for the most comfortable and smooth shocks for the Bronco and I found these: Eibach Pro-Truck Coilover Stage 2
So
1- Are these shocks softer and smoother ON-ROAD compared to what I have (FOX HOSS 3.0)
2- And is it worth the change because the Eibach shocks are not cheap
3- If you have any other suggestions better than this

My guess is that eibach would be a downgrade but they may ride “softer” because they are weaker…like an ‘70s caddie…

I haven't rode on the Fox 3.0s to compare but I'm running the Eibachs w/ standard springs...no harshness on or off road. In the world of coil overs I would consider the Eibachs best bang for the buck for all around use w/o spending an arm and a leg. Probably not the best choice for high speed running or serious crawling.

I think you bought a Bronco, that is going to ride like a bronco. Tire pressure will effect ride more than changing coil overs. The stock Goodyear's are a C load rating, so you are not going to get much softer.

I have the OEM SAS Bilstein shocks on mine. I have been happy with them, very smooth. So that could be an option. You can find lots of take offs in the classifieds.

The OEM Bilstien are digressive valved and you can feel every grain of sand you drive over on the highway.

The Fox shocks he has now are MUCH softer valved in the ride zone. He would absolutely hate the hoss 2.0 bilsteins…

I find them very smooth. I don't feel much of anything that I'm driving over. Can take speed bumps and street changes (uneven) pretty fast.

I wouldnt say weaker applies here. Simply the valving at play, being more open (more fluid flow) in the eibachs. But they do ride like a 70s cadillac.

I think they're very harsh. Speed bumps are in the cabin with you. I'm looking to something with selectable ranges. The 8112's perhaps. The live valve seem, somehow a little sketchy and incredibly costly, even though I like the idea of remotely being able to change from the cabin.

Maybe they changed the valving for '26? What year is yours?

I used to have the 5100 on one of my Jeeps and didn't like them because they were too harsh. Got rid of them pretty quickly. No complaints about the OEM Bilstein.

My previous DD was a Ram 1500. The Eibach were probably the most popular CO option. Though some said they were better for DD and not as good for offroad. Ok for slower offroad, but not going fast on sand dunes.

I would not run the eibachs on fast undulating / bouncy off road. forest roads at speed they'd be great I bet. Slow off roading / crawling, I love them

Since you have great shocks already, I’d recommend looking at the SDI EClik system. I have it on my F150 Raptor, and I set the shocks for full soft on road. The ride is incredible! Plus there’s a lot of extra settings for just about everything.

Roughly $2200, if you aren’t mechanically inclined, install is probably another $1500 added.

Shock Surplus on YouTube has a series of videos for the Bronco Suspension. Listen to what they have to say about the Eibachs.

Pretty fast is the key here. The HOSS 2.0 needs speed to smooth out. Going slow allows you to feel everything.

I have had both the 2.0 and 3.0 setups.
