I've seen so many posts on Facebook and on here about the Oracle tail lights failing in that exact same spot on so many vehicles. Makes me wonder if the design of the housing doesn't allow for enough cooling, or if that spot in the housing isn't sealing water out correctly. It's a shame, I'd love to trust the company due to their heated headlights for snowy weather that they offer.

They are piles of shit, I’m on my 3rd set from oracle. The resistors always fail. I just got pulled over tonight due to passenger taillight flickering rapidly. And didn’t even notice it. Guess $500 right down the drain @ORACLE Lighting.
Wonder if Oracle would cover the tail light replacement as well as the fees for the ticket they just caused you. lol... A boy can dream, right?
That would seriously upset me if I were in your situation. It's sad that it's such a widely known issue with these flush-mount tail lights from them, and it just keeps happening and happening.

If I can get in to my buddy's heated garage tomorrow, I'm going back to the OEM halogens and be done with this foolishness.

I gave up after 3 failures (2 driver, 1 passenger). Oracle responded immediately the first and second time. They went dark on the third failure. I had hoped the replacement units would fix this common issue, but apparently they aren't interested in fixing the issue, just get you through the warranty period (and to their credit) and then some. This evening I finally reinstalled my factory lights. I will say it's good to have the amber turns back. Plus, the smooth shape wasn't exactly tough-looking. I have a can on the back and just use a shorter shock to limit opening to prevent taillight damage.

And this is the company that wants people to lay out $1800 for a set of fog lights.

. I surely thought you were exaggerating but holy shit, you were being generous about the extra $10, plus shipping and tax I'd imagine. If they can't make a simple tail light that doesn't fail then why on earth would I trust that these won't fail?
Honestly my trust for this company has dwindled because of all these posts about reliability.

Instead I bought these $69 eBay LED lights. While I prefer the Oracle Flush design, I can accept this design for the price, especially . They came with resistors mounted high on the lights away from road spray, plug and play for halogen replacements, reuses OEM bracket so it fits great without trimming and using spacers like Oracle. Even if these fail and I have to replace these every 12 months like Oracle lights, at least it'll be inexpensive! 🤪

I'm done with Oracle branded anything...

Just an early 2 month update: No issues so far through Chicago cold, snow, ice, and salt spray. They just work like they should, even though they only cost $69 instead of $500. Amazing... LOL

If they fail prematurely and I have to get another set for $70ish, it's still a better value than the name brand lights that keep having issues for all of us anyway.

Especially when those name brand lights are sourced from China as well.

If I had a dollar for every post I have read on this site complaining about a failed aftermarket part I could buy a Base model two door Bronco with cash. Of course I would be paying it all in one dollar bills but……..

Nearly everything I own has someone complaining about it. I'd never buy anything if I went by some of the reviews.

Let me start by saying this is just a fair warning to anyone who is looking to upgrade your taillights.
I bought these direct from the manufacturer and at the time had only seen positive reviews about the company and their quality. My experience has proven to be less fortunate not once but now twice. The photos below are taken about four months apart and the issue is the same. The difference however is that the failed tail lamp on the drivers side from the first photo was exchanged for a brand new one seen in photo number two. The first lamp lasted 6 months or thereabouts from time of install as I left them in the box for about a year while I sourced the time for the install and more importantly the early Windows PC that could run the Forescan to even use the lamps. They were actually good about replacing this from the perspective of the normal warranty period as my procrastination with installation had passed the warranty period. I appreciated this very much actually.
But the process to deal with the requirements of that manufacturer and the hoops they force you to jump through was quite painful and not logical or convenient to the end user. To get the replacement lamp took about a month of back and forth plus they wanted me to remove the light for a build code before they would ship the replacement. Let's just say this is far from convenient and what I found when I finally did go to replace the lamp is that the plastic tab that pushes into the holder is very brittle and broke immediately upon removal. The second lamp lasted less than 4 months. I guess I'm going back to stock at this point.

I didn't go the housing route - I went the bulb route through F150LED's. In less than a year, I replaced both bulbs and both resistors. Tearing the housings out every six months is not worth having LED's to me. I'm back to stock where I will stay.

I did the exact same thing, and so far after almost 2 years, they have been fine. Now I did have to replace one on my 2014 F350 under warranty, but it has been fine since.

When they go out, not sure how I will handle it. They are expensive too. The F350 is a breeze to replace, but, yeah, the Bronco is more work!

Nothing wrong with my Oracle tail lights, they've been on it for almost 2 years... I did, however, keep my stock LED tail lights, in case something happened...

Could be something to do with the resistors needed for the halogen replacements. I suspect there are more halogen owners who "upgraded" to Oracles since many of the Signature lighting LED owners are mostly satisfied with their OEM upgraded LEDs from Ford.
