Yes, updates were made back in late 2023 to address the issues that have been reported.
But, in another thread someone posted an email from Oracle claiming there were NO ISSUES with the Bronco lights, and that the issue was only with Jeep Gladiator. C'mon guys—get your stories straight 😞

That was me who asked them hoping to find out what they fixed. Only for them to say there never was an issue for Broncos. Unreal... If they can't say what they fixed and deny there was ever an issue, how can I have any confidence in a replacement light?

So I am not taking their 15% discount offer to continually replace Oracle lights that fail after 12-15 months, just outside warranty.

Instead I bought these $69 eBay LED lights. While I prefer the Oracle Flush design, I can accept this design for the price, especially . They came with resistors mounted high on the lights away from road spray, plug and play for halogen replacements, reuses OEM bracket so it fits great without trimming and using spacers like Oracle. Even if these fail and I have to replace these every 12 months like Oracle lights, at least it'll be inexpensive! 🤪

I'm done with Oracle branded anything...

Yes, updates were made back in late 2023 to address the issues that have been reported.
I asked specifically what updates were made so I could buy with confidence, and was told there never was an issue in the first place. Either your team is bad with internal communication or someone is outright lying. Neither is a good look.

If you'd like my failed lights back for R&D, I'll sell them back to you for a 15% discount from MSRP, (shipping extra) as that was your offer to me. Sound like a good offer to you?

At Oracle Lighting, we monitor product performance closely, and we recently conducted an internal review of the Bronco taillight line. While the overall rate of issues reported is very low relative to total production, even a small number of customers experiencing concerns shortly after the one-year mark does not align with the standard we set for ourselves.

Because of that, we are taking immediate action. Effective today, we have extended the warranty on all Oracle Bronco Taillights from one year to two years. This includes purchases made after November 2023, 2024, and 2025.

This update applies moving forward and ensures that every customer has the additional peace of mind they deserve. Our goal is not just to deliver high-performance lighting solutions, but to stand behind them with support that reflects our commitment to the enthusiast community.

We want to emphasize:
  • The taillights continue to perform extremely well across the vast majority of units in the field.

I got mine in a couple weeks ago

For Halogen folks: the third brake light wire is optional - only if you want the animated or amber turn signals. This is how on the non-signature lighting the Form knows the difference between brake and turn signal (signature lights have a separate wire for that).

If you don't run the wire, the turn signal will work just as it does on the halogens - red light, non-animated.

And if you do want - yes you would need to drop your stinger to run the wire, but you can mount it right back up once you have the wire run.

Interesting, I've been reading up on trying to swap my halogens with a set of factory LED taillights, from the sounds of it no one was able to wire them to get the amber turn signals working properly, interesting that this method just uses the third brake light wire to differentiate.

Interesting, I've been reading up on trying to swap my halogens with a set of factory LED taillights, from the sounds of it no one was able to wire them to get the amber turn signals working properly, interesting that this method just uses the third brake light wire to differentiate.
Yeah, but I doubt Oracle/Morimoto will invest the $ to reverse engineer how Form Lighting does this. If I was an electrician I would just buy both sets and wire some Morimoto's to the Form spec. Just really not a fan of the look of the Form offering.

With your lights failing in roughly 12 months the 2year warranty means the first replacement is on you with possibly a second but after that it will be on the the customer's dime.

Still a pretty crappy situation for $500 lights.

I’ve had this same problem for about a year now, but mine alternate. Sometimes my right rear light will be messed up, sometimes it’s the driver side, and sometimes it’s both. Occasionally they will both work fine for a bit. But they are messed up 97% of the time.

To their credit, Oracle did send me a new driver side light for free under their new 2 year warranty program, and I did NOT have to return my failed driver light. Hopefully it lasts and the passenger side one doesn't go out. Or perhaps they both go out before May 2026 so I can get another set and restart the countdown timer yet again...

Or perhaps they do like Sears eventually did with their cordless tool batteries. That the one you buy has the warranty but the one they replace it with under warranty...does not.

Seems to me it would be in @ORACLE Lighting best interests to simply have the factory in China revamp the design so it DOESN'T fail. It's NOT rocket science after all, as Ford does OEM LED lights that last and last..

That's an absurd concept though I guess.
