Currently on my third roof replacement for my 20002 Badlands 2 door, 10.000 miles, garaged. I did post pictures in the past of huge cracks. As suggested in this forum I did contact the law firm in D.C. classlawdc.com As others have stated this might be a waste of time, but at least I feel better knowing I at least tried to get Ford to own up to this common defect. I have forwarded documentation to the law firm and encourage others to do the same. To the members who insist this is not a problem, ok, but for the money I invested I feel Ford should be responsible for a better solution than replacing the top repeadily with the same garbage. I must admit I was hesitant to post this so thanks for listening.

I recall seeing these pics before. Was this the 3rd top or your 2nd?
Are you on 3 tops in 10k miles or only got 10k out of the newest top?
I’m at over 20k and 18 months on my mic top. I know these mic tops have issues and I am in the camp that Ford should have ditched them by now and be offering black painted tops as replacements.
3 tops and those giant cracks, are you sure your only washing with standard car wash soap and water, darn sure looks like your top suffered chemical induced shrinkage.

Ford needs to ditch the failed mic already.

Good for you. I contacted them previously and will again when I take mine back in for a THIRD replacement.

The photos are my second top, I am on the third top, and check for cracks daily, the truck has 10,000 miles total, i hand wash perhaps 4-5 times and never the roof
Yikes, those are the biggest cracks I've seen posted so far.... was there any water intrusion inside?
No water damage as this is my second vehicle so it was garaged until repaired under warranty

Thanks for the follow-up.
I do wash my top using normal car wash soap. Mcquires or turtle wax and both contain carnauba wax, no other products go on my MIC.
I hope the 3rd time is the charm for you.

Ford should just swap out all the MIC tops with the painted black tops for EVERY Bronco MIC customer. The tops and the rattling windows when particularly open are the two faults there are no excuses for.

Are the painted tops any better?
Yes!

I'd love to see a better top, I have no issues other than bubbles at 22k. Hope my luck holds!!!

The fact that Ford is still offering these MIC tops on ‘26s makes me think they deserve any blowback they get at this point.

They aren’t including delamination?
It looks like it is in its infancy right now with them investigating the claims from owners. I think once they are done it will include the issues that Ford has recognized in their TSB's.

I think the hurdle will be whether the courts accept the Class Action.

I haven't had any problems with my 22 Base 2Dr top yet. I live in NCal. Always garaged.
Gets up to about 108 in the summer, and maybe 35 in the mornings in the winner. Since mine is in garage a lot.... I got a feeling temps probably never reach 95 (high), and probably never < 40 (low). Humidity is probably < 40% for 95% of the time. But I'm just coming up on 15,000 on the Bronco (which is white with MIC top).

My question for those with cracked tops... are you guys in any extreme situations... temp-wise. High temps, low temps, etc.

I'm just trying to figure out if I got lucky, and why. Final question for anybody that might know... are the MIC tops all made at the same plant, or are there various MIC plants.

Thanks.
