I’ve been reading there are a lot of issues most leading to vac. Line. But when it’s vac line most are reporting firm pedals. I am getting this alarm but brakes work fine. Any thoughts?

All depends on your motor I had this happen on my old 2.7 and they had to run though a pen out and ultimately replace the whole dam assembly for the master cylinder

Vacuum only applies to break systems on the older 2.3L system.

There was a TSB or something for a loose vacuum line for … MY22s maybe? But vacuum isn’t a common issue even on Broncos that use it.

2.7 and the MY25+ 2.3 all have electric brake systems. I’d try charging your battery overnight and see if it clears

Had this happen on my 2.3. Easy fix, expensive part not covered under ESP. The hard pedal will show up eventually. I think the problem is in the check valves; I believe they are open under vacuum, closed under boost. If you go to apply the brakes at just the right time you will have no vacuum and a hard pedal. Dealer had the part in stock.

2022 2.3L.

Had this happen while on a roadtrip, on interstate at cruising speed. I’m guessing the constant low boost (3-8psi) was afflicting the vacuum system because brakes hadn’t been used in over an hour.

The revised Vac Line/Diaphragm solved the issue. Easy swap, three connections I think? Did it with hand tools.

'22 2.3, MT Bronco. I complained about a soft pedal, brakes worked fine. Apparently there was a TSB on the vacuum line and the dealer replaced it (they said that it had a vacuum leak) but I don't believe it had any effect on the pedal feel. Maybe I've just gotten used to it but pedal feels more 'normal' now.

I got the same alert on my 2022 Badlands just a couple weeks ago. It turned out to be a faulty microswitch in the brake reservoir.

I have this recurring issue on my 2.7. I get U codes for loss of communication and also had the reservoir replaced due to a bad micro switch. Same check brake message appears every now and then but absolutely no other symptoms. Ive been suggested to replace the battery but currently out of warranty and havent had battery issues at all so just living with it for now.
