My driver side window wobbles horribly, took it in earlier in the year. Dealer acknowledged issue but stated they per Ford guidance they will not do anything about it because there is an engineerig fix coming in Q4. Anyone heard anything about the timing of this?

Been wondering as well. Doesn’t bother me much though. It’s either up all the way or down all the way. Probably Fords original thought. But people complained. And most likely sheds weight being the way it is. But I wouldn’t mind a fix.

Nope. At this point I’d just assume it’s not getting a fix. They keep claiming they’re going to release a repair and then they just push the ETA every time. It has now been pushed to Q3 of 2025 😂

Also this isn’t really for it wobbling, it’s just for the rattle over bumps.

The issue is it's a rather big piece of glass with very little supporting it, even in the full-up position (ours wobbles a bit if you open the door too fast). There isn't much room in the door to add a more robust guide system. I would suggest that they probably aren't going to be able to do much about it.

You could try adjusting the guides and everything to tighten it up, and it would probably help. But over time the issue is going to come back.

I’ve done the adjustment. Works for a bit but it must loosen and the rattle returns in matter of weeks

My FJ has full framed windows, and they do the same dang thing - rattle when partially down. I have learned the spots I can stop the window at where it won't rattle. My STI has frameless windows, it has no rattle in any position. IMO it's more the shape/size of the glass than it is the framed vs frameless.

Thanks for the update on this! Another year of not cracking the windows open! LOL. All the way up or down. I have a '21 Badlands. Is this an issue with all years or just earlier ones, say '21 and '22?

Yep no problem. It's all years according to that bulletin.

I can hear my driver side window rattling in the door when it's all the way down too while driving on forest service roads. This isn't normal for frameless windows. My Miata and my dad's Mustang have no such issues regardless of what position the window is in.
