Will the Factory Jack handle the Sasquatch Package? What Jack options do people have?

Just in case it helps to show how the extension is used and that the factory jack will work for 35's, here's a picture from a few months back where I had to change a tire on mine:

And the factory jack is actually hard to beat unless you're running exceptionally large tires. No leaks to worry about. Small. Lightweight. Don't replace it just because. It's a perfectly good tool and a lot better than many of the things folks advocate for in terms of reliability.

Used the extension, however in your picture the jack is in a slightly different location than mine, so I’ll check that out.

Checking at home tonight, I did indeed have the wrong location, which was about 2-3 inches higher and my main problem.

Thank you for the responses. While I’m not thrilled with the factory jack, I’ll have to decide if there are enough advantages to making a switch to one of the suggestions here or on YouTube.

As @crenca said the factory jack is sketchy. But usable in a pinch. I carry a 2x10 about 12” long to use as a leveling base. I also sometimes bring a different jack along. The one @CalvinT linked. It all depends on where I am going.

The factory jack is generally intended for use of flat level ground. it's there so a manufacturer can say they included a jack. Toyota seems to take jacks a little more seriously.

I've been thinking about one of these, but I'm waiting for more reviews on here or Amazon. It appears to be the same jack sold by Mojab and Owl Sprinter Vans for almost twice the price. As near as I can determine the same factory makes all three. They're just painted different colors.

I'm interested because it will almost replace a farm jack, work as an axle jack and will fit in the unused compartment in the rear.

I think @5GENIDN has used this Jack. I just recently got one but have not used it yet.

Glad to hear you figured out your error,and glad you didn`t get hurt. In your picture in addition to having it in the wrong spot it is turned 90 degrees.

I glued 2 2x6’s together and drilled a couple of holes to carriage bolts to secure everything together.

I have the smaller Badland jack and although bulky it's perfect for the Bronco. With the extension you can get under the frame and lift just fine. And it's stable, well, more stable than the factory jack. I have used the factory jack on a dead flat surface and was still nervous.

I like scissor jacks but it’s not easy to find something that checks all of the following boxes: extra stable, extra strong, has the height to get my Braptor well off the ground.

I found the answer and it’s fantastic. Far exceeding my expectations and absolutely and easily does the job.

Enter the the Gortech heavy duty, high lift scissor jack. The thing is a beast.

The base can pivot to allow for uneven surfaces, the height easily clears Braptor tires well off the ground and this thing is built extremely well. Some want/need a bottle jacks, others high lift. If that’s your requirement, then obviously this isn’t for you. If you want the best, highest, toughest scissor jack replacement, this is the answer.

Edit: I can't remember exactly, but I think I jacked up my SAS Bronco (on frame) with this Gortech without using the extension (on level ground in my garage).

Watched most of that extensive video and I’m pretty well sold. I’m sure I can make room on the molle panels to fit the hog somewhere lol

It’s a sweet jack I just don’t want to deal with the hassle of making room for it/securing it because we often do longer trips with a bit of gear.

When it comes to something I’ll be heavily dependent on in a nasty situation I much prefer simple, mechanical, proven. I’m sure the air jack is tough but I’ll be damned if I’m crawling under a 5000lb death trap being supported by a party balloon on sharp rocks.. they seem cool tho.
