Nothing too exciting yesterday, just a fun run around some forest trails. All the more interesting trails are either on trails fire or very fire adjacent currently 😭
I really wanted to go this route but when I reached out to them they said they don’t have a factory drop in option available for the Bronco so I’m still running OEMs.. did you go with an aftermarket air box or did you find one that works with the factory box?
I’ve had/noticed zero problems with the redline tuning ones. I chose these over other options that mounted in a way it blocked access from the side of the engine bay.
When it comes to something I’ll be heavily dependent on in a nasty situation I much prefer simple, mechanical, proven. I’m sure the air jack is tough but I’ll be damned if I’m crawling under a 5000lb death trap being supported by a party balloon on sharp rocks.. they seem cool tho.
Where there’s a will there’s a way. Unmount spare, muscle if off tailgate, roll to front of vehicle, lay on its side (for safety, trust me on this one), close hood, reverse steps. Sure it adds 10 minutes and a couple of tools to simply top off your washer fluid but struts are like super cool 😎
I got the same ones. At 5’ 10” I grab the latch on the hood to pull it down. I suspect this would be achievable down to about 5’ 6” before tippy toes get involved 😅
