GM suggesting a V8 is not really a desirable option considering they can't seem to produce any V8's that don't go BANG! lol

No thanks for me!
The bang is a desirable and necessary function for an internal combustion engine.

I actually like how those new Blazers look. Shouldn't have the Blazer name on it though.
I have a coworker that has a Blazer and it kinda makes me laugh everytime I see it parked next to my Bronco. They should’ve called it a TraverseX or something.

I don’t see any Retro in the proposed design. Looking at the single color model looks more like a G6 Bronco / BRaptor than the older GMC. The new proposed design looks a lot better than the original Jimmy model. Also interesting they use a color very similar to popular Shelter Green.

I personally thought the early Jimmy / Blazer were a poor design, and I spent several years as a GM Tech.

Reminds me of the late 80's models from the front. Like a Bronco knockoff from the back.

Meh.

The hood has a bit of Squarebody to it, although with an inverted center channel rather than a flat top ridge. The rest is forgettable.

My '77 manual K5 isn't impressed.

These aren't proposed designs by GM.

I'll just be making popcorn for the inevitable, collective disappointment when GM gets a mule going and some vague design language leaks... and then drops it altogether?

These are Motortrend renderings, no real bearing on anything GM might have planned. And quite honestly, looks like they didn't have any real effort put into them either, uninspired would be the kindest I could say.

This would be just another fixed roof SUV in these renderings, there's not a removable roof and doors on that thing. This is just a slightly smaller Yukon, but, again this is from a magazine talking, not a manufacturer
