  1. What's the craziest thing you've seen behind the wheel?

A driver eating cereal while driving down the highway. Full-on bowl and spoon action trying not to spill milk on himself while commuting. On several levels the risk/reward just doesn't add up.
  2. Sound Deadening in 4-Door Soft top

When the temps get above 60 I'm constantly opening the top. This time of year my blankets live on the M2M flip-down shelf
  3. Brake Pads and Right to Repair

3 posts later in the thread... "Love seeing all the Bronco action, keep em coming 👏"
  4. Sound Deadening in 4-Door Soft top

In cooler weather I throw a couple of blankets on top of the mesh bikini under the soft top and it does wonders for both quiet and warmth. I normally keep blankets in my vehicles anyway and this approach effectively takes up zero space. It's a win all around.
  5. Brake Pads and Right to Repair

The Taco Bell drive-thru required my VIN to order a chalupa.
  6. Doors off, brakes change

Well that adds a new wrinkle to the question. Unfortunately, as with my initial post in this thread, I have nothing beneficial to add.
  7. Doors off, brakes change

I was hoping my post was silly enough to be obvious satire. 🙃 Your answer is THE answer and the doors-off thing is 100% unrelated to the brake pedal.
  8. Doors off, brakes change

As to the cause/effect mentioned in the thread title, the door seals help maintain the vehicle's vacuum pressure. With the doors off, all that vacuum is lost. It doesn't happen if you park with the windows down or when the top is removed because the truck's computer doesn't monitor the state...
  9. Undercarriage minor rust preventive action

Turn on the big air compressor and break out some breakdance-size pieces of cardboard. Dress in old clothes, lay the cardboard down under the truck, protect your face, and get to spraying everything that's not the exhaust. Honestly, that's pretty much the deal. For nooks, crannies, and tiny...
  10. Undercarriage minor rust preventive action

I've been annually coating everything in a lanolin based rust prevention treatment. (Fluid Film, Wool Wax, Corrosion Free, etc.). It makes a huge difference. I recently tried Blaster Surface Shield and it's my current favorite. It's also pretty affordable when bought by the 5 gallon tub. If...
  11. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Nice truck but what if you want to bring gear with you? 🤪
  12. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

I spent money. Ordered a set of Bilstein 6112s last night. Stage 3 Motorsports currently has them at the best price I've ever seen: https://www.stage3motorsports.com/21bronc4d6112-21-22-bronco-4-door-sasquatch-bilstein-b8-6112-suspension-kit.html
  13. 2029 GMC Jimmy coming with V8, BOF, removal roof, retro styling to take on Bronco

I never expected GM to bring back the Bronco II
  14. Bronco went into 4H all by itself + warning lights?

They'll pull codes and see nothing if it's not actively happening.
  15. Bronco went into 4H all by itself + warning lights?

Unplug the wiring harness from the back of the transfer case, clean the contacts, and reassembly with some dielectric grease. Also wiggle the wiring bundle to see if you can reproduce the issue as a wire might be partially broken inside the insulation. Also unplug, clean, dialectic grease, and...
  16. Off-road park, AOAA, PA..

AOAA is excellent. Even their campground has a cool, chill vibe to it. These Broncos are very capable and you're guaranteed to have a good time there.
  17. New Guy here, Just saying hello! =)

I'm down in Howell these days but spent a lot of time in Middlesex for school, work, fun (Raceway Park used to host Tough Mudder events in addition to the racing it was known for), and even lived in Monroe for a time. Heck, I used to have an off-road race truck that was built by a shop in...
  18. New Guy here, Just saying hello! =)

Welcome! Always good to see more locals joining the forum!
  19. How far did you travel to pick up your Bronco ?

Approximately 2500 miles. Family vacation to Florida from NJ. While there I had vehicle troubles and, fortuitous timing, I got an email alert that the Bronco in NC that was on my watch list had dropped to my buy price. Cleared it with the wife, called the dealership, bought it 5 days later on...
