These threads go off the rails sometimes but that keeps it interesting. I use the auto car wash touch-less all the time for my Braptor. No leaks and MIC top is all good so far.
Yeah ours has gone through a couple times...but since I learned about the recommendation I have stopped. Hasn't cracked yet but why risk it?

It’s the easiest option for me and it’s touchless so no issues and no cracks or anything like that. Just the random drip of water every now and then. But that’s mostly after a hard rain.

I forget some states don't have automated car washes, I'm used to etiquette being having $$$ for the tip

Either way is a lot better than leaving it on the ground.

I use semi truck wash thats near downtown great pressure, angle wand head for undercarriage and fender wells and supurb spray pattern dont even need brush.

There is no etiquite at amy car wash that Ive ever been to just a bunch of animals jostling for position and 4th world uber drivers using them as persoanl detailing bays while cars are lined up to use.....thus the semi truck wash.

Do you brush your teeth by just rinsing your mouth with toothpaste and water?
A bit of apples and oranges there. Our teeth aren't painted.

Akshully I just washed my Bronco using only the tire/wheel brush for the tire and wheels (!), the high pressure soap and high pressure rinse for everything else.
perfect - and quicker and cheaper than if I also used the brush as I always need to add extra coins otherwise I run out of time with that.

Sweet Mabel, I have seen the light!

If you use the brushes at the car wash to brush your teeth, eventually you look like this:
