On my local bronco group, some guy had the same issue. He had it at a Ford Dealership for months before they finally were able to finalize the software update for the new rack. That has scared me from doing the same to my bronco. It really shouldn't be that hard.
People that think trail turn assist is a gimmick clearly have never offroaded. Ive used it countless times. Switchbacks and dead end trails are the best use for it.
4.46 gearing here and upgraded to 35s almost immediately upon ownership. Paired with the 2.7L and the 10 speed transmission, it does not struggle at all to move the tires. Ive had this setup for almost 3 years now. No issues and I offroad it, no mall crawling here. Later I got the ford...
The most common question I get is "How do you like your bronco?" and its the same response every time. I love it. Honorable mentions are "How long have you had it?" and "Any major issues in your ownership?"
when i got my MIC replaced they only replaced the rear most panel. Even though I expressed concern with the honeycombing on the front panels, they said they dont classify that as a warranty issue. They do reuse the glass from your old top and put it in your new one. Keep in mind, if you have the...
my front passenger door started doing this a few months ago. I haven't looked too far into what could be causing it, but posting to say you're not alone and hopefully someone has a fix! Following.
I like the IAG one, thats what I purchased. It doesnt have ugly branding plastered all over it and looks to be the same dimensions of the Ford one you can purchase, but for cheaper. https://a.co/d/0VAx5Dx
I've changed my own oil on my 2.7L bronco 4 times now (23k miles) and have always used 6 quarts and the dipstick level reads fine. I think I saw something about some earlier broncos having a shorter dipstick and believe thats where the 7 quarts idea came from. I think both are fine - but 6...
You can do anything... but just curious, why have a Raptor if thats what you are going to do? Wouldn't it be better to sell that and get a non-raptor Bronco?
I have only ever heard good feedback about JTops customer service. I havent dealt with them directly but I have purchased a JTop from them and they were super quick and easy to communicate order confirmation and shipping. As you can see, they are active in the community (Forum pages) Give him a...
I stopped initiating the wave as I would get ignored or weird looks. The only people I wave on the road are another Velocity Blue bronco (my color) or another modified Bronco. All the ones that are 100% stock dont seem to like the culture and appreciating other broncos. On the trail, everyone...
Nice report. I have a non sas BD as well, lifted on fox shocks and 35 KO2s. It rides great, but when I see a bronco with 37s drive by, I get a little jealous. Good to know you have had a positive experience with the swap. I'm thinking of swapping to 37s once these tires wear down. Are you on the...
I use 4A for snow mainly. Offroading sometimes as well when I feel its not as extreme to be using 4L or 4H. Its a great system and very smart. I couldnt imagine having a Bronco without 4A now that I got to experience it.
I tried something 2 weeks ago, adjusting the tightness of the J hooks on the hard top panels. There’s a little Allen key bolt right above the J hook, loosen it up and you can then spin the J hook to tighten it or loosen it. I cranked it down one full turn, reinstalled and the J hook snaps much...
Do you have a picture of this? I can sort of visualize what you are talking about. Did you have to remove the seal then put silicone under it and reinstall? Or can you get by with moving the seal over, applying the silicone and moving it back?
Posting back here to say this whistling issue has finally been resolved! We had a super windy week in Colorado, dealer was able to hear the whistling noise, without the bronco even driving. They used tape on various parts of the bronco and found it stopped when they taped right above the driver...
I use TTA like my locker, use it when absolutely needed and turn it back off. TTA is super useful for the trails I hit in Colorado that are narrow and turn sharply. People that say its useless must not have found a practical use for it.
