I look forward to your 2025+ 2.3L tune for a manual transmission. It will be interesting to see if the new modular (dual port injection) motor is the same in power/torque as the older model. I hope it is at least as good or maybe even better.

Well dang it, I’ll start saving then. I currently have the Ford Performance tune. I dyno’d it awhile back and got about 265 WHP.

As an off-roader, my goal though isn’t max HP. I want better transmission mapping, lower end HP and TQ, less turbo lag, etc.

Turbo boost lag is real when rock crawling. Gas, gas, gas adding a bit more and more until it “goes” and then I shoot over the obstacle. I want to get rid of that. ProCal tune helped but it’s still there and I notice it mainly on the rubicon.

Sure high HP is what most people base a tune off of. But not me, I want performance in the rocks and dunes. Not drag race results.
If Panda can do this, and somehow finds Rev Matching in there for the 7MT, I'd ditch my FP tune and sign up in a heartbeat.

I don't run any power mods, not really interested in going faster down the road, but what Popo_patty describes right here I ~would~ be interested in - lower rpm hp/torque. That turbo hump that hits right at 2-2.5k is brutal when you are trying to finesse over something and not just send it.

You’ll be able to run E85 without any fueling upgrades, but don’t expect much more max HP/TQ potential from the new MPC design vs. gen 1 & 2. Should be able to get there easier though with the dual injection.

Despite the improvements, the engine still faces the classic 2.3L EcoBoost hurdles:

• Open Deck: The block design still lacks the structural rigidity of a semi closed or closed deck engine. At extreme boost levels (500+ hp) the cylinder walls can "walk" or crack.

• Connecting Rods: These are the first internal components to fail. They are "powdered metal" and do not handle high-torque shocks well.

I did not know this, I just casually assumed any modern turbo ICE motor engineered to get anything more than about 100 HP/torque per liter was semi closed at least...

Less confidence in the capability/endurance of this motor then I used to have.

Anyone else randomly get an unsolicited emailed invoice from Panda for the tune?

Not a bad price honestly. Just wondering the timeline for 2025 7MT.

I guess it's a good thing I waited on going down the ProCal route! I haven't had a vehice to tune since my sportscar days (pre-kids). Time to have some fun now!

23l bronco tuning is here.webp

We’re excited to officially announce that custom tuning for the 2.3L Bronco is now available from Panda Motorworks using HP Tuners!
This isn’t a rushed “first to market” file. This is the result of over a decade of EcoBoost tuning experience and thousands of vehicles calibrated across multiple platforms.

Why Trust Panda Motorworks with Your 2.3L?

Panda Motorworks has been tuning 2.3L EcoBoost platforms for more than a decade, from daily drivers to track cars, rally cars and professional drift builds. This engine isn’t new territory for us. We’ve seen it in every configuration imaginable and understand where it shines, where it needs support, and how to extract power safely!

Right now, we are actively tuning our shop 2.3L Bronco on our in-house dyno, validating changes with real data and real-world driving.
📊 Dyno results are coming soon, but tunes are available for purchase now!

🐼 Why a PandaTune?

Ford Bronco {thread} {filename}

We don’t chase big dyno numbers just for screenshots.

Every PandaTune is built around our three Pillars of Tuning:

Performance – Noticeable gains in power and drivability
Reliability – Consistent output without stressing critical components
Safety – Conservative where it matters, aggressive where it counts

This is not a “fire and forget” tune. Everything we release is backed by data logging, testing, and real driving. If we wouldn’t run it in our own rigs, it doesn’t leave the shop. Simple as that.

👉 Want to dive deeper into what makes PandaTuned different and how we approach calibration? Click here to learn more.

Real People. Real Support.

This is where we separate ourselves from the pack.

When you purchase a PandaTune, you receive a tune ticket, which is a direct line to our actual calibrator.
No faceless support queues.
No copy-paste replies.
No waiting weeks for answers.

We review logs, answer questions, and make sure your Bronco is running exactly how it should!

⏱ Average response time: ~24 hours
📅 Support hours: Monday–Friday, 9–5 CST

We know you want to get back behind the wheel, and we don’t leave you hanging.

The RTD: Remote Tuning Made Simple
Ford Bronco {thread} {filename}

We’re using the HP Tuners RTD, which makes remote tuning easier than ever.

• Plug it in
• Connect via your phone using the Tune Delivery Network (TDN) app
• Flash your Bronco in just a few taps

Ford Bronco {thread} {filename}

Need to log data? Easy.
Need to send logs to us? Automatic and cloud-based.

The RTD uses the same hardware as HP Tuners’ MPVI3, so you’re getting professional grade tools in a clean, user friendly package.

What’s Next?
This tune is dialed and ready for the road — but we’re just getting started.
We’re already testing:
  • Higher octane fuel
  • Popular bolt-on modifications
  • Expanded calibration options as the platform evolves

The Bronco aftermarket is exploding, and we’re staying ahead of it with continuous testing, refinement, and updates.

📌 Stay tuned to this thread! All dyno results, updates, and new options will be posted here first.
If you’ve got questions, drop them below. We’re happy to talk tuning!

So if we already have the ford performance tune on our 2.3 would we need to reflash it back to stock to go with the panda tune?

Definitely curious myself, probably just override it

I'm guessing you could still use the procal to adjust for different tire sizes and that sort of thing
Yes, you don’t need the PCM calibration for that.
