Thanks, that is way more info that I had any idea about. I would agree with you as this happens this time of year. I will try exactly that. Again great info and thanks!

Exactly the reason I went with a base model. Less things to break in the long run.Sucks. That’s why I’m happy with Badlands and no extras except the mod bumper. Still has enough potential problems as is. All the extra stuff is more to break and expensive to fix.
between that and the picture somebody posted, it makes a good bit more sense now, i wasn't 100% sure on it, i just now that when my tail lights are dirty, that system goes absolutely beserk.Possibly, I thought of that and whipped off everything on the back of the car. Sensors, camera, tail lights, window and door. Also I thought they were all related to the ones in the bumper but I honestly don't know.
I hope it is something that simple but since I have had the issue before I am not holding my breath.
Granted the first time I had ALL driver aids go out and then the radio and then the dash etc. The second it was only the passenger side, same as this time, with the same on and off warnings I am currently getting. Maybe all they did was clean the sensors and then billed big... medium... blue in Detroit for a warranty fix.
Do you know what piece the dealer replaced and the wiring harness to it. Just trying to brainstorm. Is this the plug behind the rear wheel and bumper that gets absolutely sprayed from the road? Do you drive on salted roads?Well the air blowing and heater didn't fix anything. It was as bad or maybe "worse" (only because I had my hopes up) today. I got in to head to work and before the start process had even finished the errors had popped up and bonged. But this time, they were not the on and off errors but it just stayed broken.
I will need to dig out the paperwork for repairs. But I drive on nothing but salty and/or briney roads up here in the winter. The weather has been bitterly clod and then warm again and then bitterly cold and warm etc. recently so the roads are just covered in it.Do you know what piece the dealer replaced and the wiring harness to it. I would have recommended water to flush the connections and sensor. Not sure what the leaf blower would have accomplished.Well the air blowing and heater didn't fix anything. Because I had just gotten home from work and wanted to try something; even if that was just mirroring a low power air dryer in a car wash to blow any extra water or sludge out of the area if I could before I went inside. And although above freezing I didn't want water all over my garage to turn into ice.I would have recommended water to flush the connections and sensor. If you have the time and are trouble-shooting, then go ahead and disassemble the trim/body panels.
If you have self-serve car wash (type with the wand), then I would go that route. You can see the picture that shows the BLIS sensor for reference that @jsoa posted. Flush that area by angling the wand to direct the spray. When you get home from the bath, go ahead and dry the area with your leaf blower if it concerns you about excess water lingering.Because I had just gotten home from work and wanted to try something; even if that was just mirroring a low power air dryer in a car wash to blow any extra water or sludge out of the area if I could before I went inside. I wouldn't mind doing a partial disassembly and a full cleaning but with the holiday driving I am not going to have time to do it anytime soon.
EDIT: I might just go through an auto wash again and see if the undercarriage sprayer gets anywhere near the area.![]()
I went to a self washer after work tonight. On the drive over the warnings were doing the on and off bongs every other second. From working to fault to working to fault etc. I sprayed the heck out of wherever I could fit the nozzle. And the error just stayed solid on afterwards. Ah well at least the drives this week won’t being a bonging session of annoying. If you have self-serve car wash (type with the wand), then I would go that route. Edit: I hate to state the obvious, but the reference picture shows the driver's side. You do know there is a sensor in the same location on the passenger side? You'll want to flush both sides.
Keep us updated with what you find out at the dealer. If the dealer can't get you scheduled soon and you have the time, it would be worthwhile to go ahead and remove the trim/body panels to see what is happening back there. At the very least, it will give you an opportunity to clean back there and reseat the connections.I went to a self washer after work tonight.
