OK I decided not to waste more time and just order some. I couldn't figure out how to get the price from Belmetric.com that BroncoAdventure claimed due to minimum $7.40 shipping for me. So I am ordering these from Amazon.

I did find Belmetric has some of their line on Amazon but not the sealing washers. There is an Amazon Belmetric storefront.

Instead of buying an individual washer (or a small pack at the auto parts store), just spend 10 or 20 dollars and buy a big plastic container of assorted sizes. Get one in aluminum and one in copper if you like. They are really affordable and you will only have to do this one time in your entire life (unless you are maintaining a fleet). Just search "crush washer assortment" on Amazon or Google.

I haven't started on it. I'll be doing both tc and diff plus installing a diff drop bracket. I'm sticking with what Ford recommends:
Motorcraft MERCON LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (WSSM2C938-A). Non sas BD so no advanced AWD.

This all started as a personal mission, after paying $36 for 2 washers, to locate the exact washer, in material and exact size as OEM, at cheapest price. I did that. Im still thinking how in the hell is it possible that ford can charge $18 for a 30 cent part. I was bitter.

Diff and transfer case fluid change were simple. Diff fluid's color wasn't dark and had a small amount of metallic paste on the drain magnet. Same for the transfer case, however that fluid was brown. My trucks has 35k miles.

I used these pumps for filling. They were the wrong size for the fluid containers but they still worked just fine.

My 23OBX2.7 Lux has AT though it's not the fastest AWD engagement on slipper stuff I use 4 H /L for that.

A other observation, the non advanced AWD transfer case use a 10mm hex with crush washer on the drain/fill plug, where as the advanced AWD trans uses the standard 3/8 socket and puddy, no washer. Not important, just an observation

Because the incentive structure is wrong, at least for the consumer… it’s $great$ for the monopolistic and state protected dealer franchisees. Remember you did not buy that $18 part from Ford. You bought it from a dealer.

That said, even if the market was more open, I still wonder if there’s enough people doing their own work for Ford to be incentive eyes to sell you a part like this at a decent price…
