Wow, you're right the outdoor sunshine really masks the flaws.

Thanks for that tip.

Ford will use anything to void the warranty so I would not tell them you used it and personally I wouldn't use anything other than soap and water on it.
Thanks, though this thread is over a year old😉. Coincidentally, however, I literally just filed a warranty claim yesterday on my roof 2 1/2 years in to ownership. I was at the dealership yesterday so they could order the parts. No warranty issues it seems.

Let's hope your replacement top doesn't croak after the 3-year vehicle warranty expires.

Agreed, the cracks and delamination have been there almost since day one, I just decided to claim it now since I am at 30 months and 29,000 miles. However, I did buy, the extended 100,000 8 year extended from Granger, but I figured why risk them coming up with some excuse after the original 3 year 36,000. Hopefully I won't regret it and get a worse top. No point in worrying about that though.

Extended warranty doesn't cover the hard top.

Well there you have it. Guess I made the right call for my current circumstances. Thank you.

Is this bad enough to bring to the dealer?

Up to you, but unfortunately that’s pretty “normal”. I’ve seen the same slight bubbling/delam in this exact same spot on multiple tops of mine and others have reported the same.

Did you ever have them look at this? I have a FE and mine has a spot like that in the same area. I did see Ford replaced early 2021 models years ago for quality issues voluntarily. I’m the second owner so no clue if it was ever done. However I’m out of the 3/36 but it’s gold certified. I’m sure I’m out of luck but I’ll bring it to mine to at least have it recorded for maybe an eventual recall or reimbursement program.
Seems like thins are really coming to a head on these and with prior documentation that they acknowledge issues with them, cross fingers they may eventually replace.

Gold certified usually carries a small warranty extension past 3/36 depending on some factors.

If you send me your VIN I can tell you if you have any coverage or not.

Thanks for checking and confirming the gold certification does not cover it. I’m still going to take to my dealer to have it documented and see if they can submit Ford for any sort of goodwill.

I wouldn’t be opposed to the LineX route but since it’s already delaminated I’m guessing it can’t be otherwise the LineX will show the issues and could compromise the coating itself.

I drove a friends 24 Bronco and love it. Thinking about getting a Heritage edition. Looking around to find all the issues with them. This is a big one. Still happening on the 25s ?
