I'm curious as to whether others have this appearance on their hardtops. I ask because it does not "feel" like a de-lamination (i.e., not squishy or any movement). It certainly doesn't look correct and there are no other similar spots on the top. I should note this is a 2024, picked up in mid-October. Thank you!

Bummer. I suppose I'll call the dealer on Monday. Not off to a stellar start on this car (also have a rear camera lens issue).

I have something similar and was told by a few others that it is normal for these. Might be different but I only see mine in certain light - usually in the garage - but looks fine the other 99% or the time. No issues with mine getting worse or anything.
Hard to compare by pics but hopefully it’s nothing!

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Just purchased a 2024 last week and noticed the same spots on mine.

Just to provide an update. The dealer is working to correct it. However, on my way out I stopped at the sales department. Every Bronco on the lot, regardless of trim, had the exact same pattern. Only on the passenger side-- same as mine. Very strange. I guess, it could be normal or maybe an entire run with wonky(ish) tops?

May I ask how they're going to correct it?

The service manager took photographs and submitted them to Ford for warranty work. I suppose Ford may say its normal. I will certainly update this thread with the outcome.

I have that weirdness with my replacement top. The waviness on the side of the mid panel and I believe on the side of a front panel or two.

These tops are shit, shit, shit.

It took 2-1/2 months for the dealership to replace one shit top with another shit top. They also did a shit job of installing the headliner.

Seeing that every bronco on the lot (about 9) had the same pattern, my hunch is there are issues with the tops' molds. I have some experience with repairing honeycomb-core materials. I'm a rower and our boats (shells) are usually a Nomex honeycomb core with carbon fiber/kevlar skin. The patterns I see on the top very much remind me of what happens when something is incorrect with a boat's mold.

Same here with my 24 Badlands. Drivers side top and bottom, 1k miles. Passenger side as well. Had the same problem with the 22 Outer Banks. Going to wait for a while before I purchase another and see if they can make one that wont crack with just driving.

Many folks have had problems. Some multiple times. It’s a problem that IMHO, shouldn’t exit. One doesn’t read about Jeep hard tops having the same problem.

I bought an MIC top this past June when Ford offered to sell me one and replaced the soft top on our 22 Badlands with 37k miles. 13k miles later, nary a problem. There are many others w/o problems. As I follow this issue there doesn’t seem to be any correlation between failures and roof racks, taking the top off/on, mileage or severity of off-road activity. Seemingly random. Although it falls into the category of what do I know, it seems plausible to me that it isn’t the design of the top per se as much as it is the manufacturing process. A process that requires precision that it doesn’t always get. What else can describe why some are perfectly fine and others not? But, as I think about it, it could be a design that requires an unrealistic level of precision in manufacturing. Again, what do I know? It’s not my field of expertise.

To everyone having a problem, hang in there and keep after your dealer. In the meantime I think I’ll knock on wood. 😊
