Just took my top off (only the second time since Nov) and I found this. Either the ice or one too many trips to the car wash. You can see on the second pic where it started at the corner then tore after that. The skin is delaminated half way to the front. Going in to the dealer tomorrow so they can get some pics for warranty replacement.

Edit:
It's actually delaminated all the way from the front to back.

Sitting back thinking my soft too isn’t too bad.
In all seriousness that’s flat ridiculous and sucks that you are going they this? You all are right it’s not like they are just inventing the removable top. I don’t remember my 90’s bronco tops ever having issues. (Yes they were heavy). But they lasted.

What I'm worried about is that they don't have any pictures of them or reviews
.....worried about dropping 6k without any feedback......and like you said where to even take it for any warranty issues...would suck to ship and back and forth....but seeing the mic issues makes me feel good about dropping it ...was able to get my build much faster as well
well, ADV doesn't offer a warranty, so at least you don't have to worry about shipping it anywhere (but the dump I guess). I would never buy anything that doesn't have some kind of warranty, and certainly not for $6k+

Eh, it isn't too bad. Top isn't leaking. You can only see the issue if you take the top off (still looks 1000% better than the soft top). I'm sure they'll ship a new one to the dealer within a month or 2. I'm really not that worried, top will be off most of the sping/summer anyway.

Good to see you have a positive attitude toward an unfortunate incident. Sorry you are going through this. Keep us informed on how things turn out (watching).

There really is a 0% chance of that, if you saw it in person you would understand. I have no doubt they'll take care of it.
I'll take your word for it, I've just had service departments be extra slimy about weasling out of warranty work and I expect the worst.

I've brought that up before. Between all the manufacturers, there are probably millions of "composite" , removeable hard tops that are still in use, mostly without issue after DECADES.

DECADES .... and Ford/Webasto can't make them last more than a few months now.

That thought really eats at me ....
DECADES vs months.
WTF are they trying to pull over on us???

What happens in 5 or 6 years, will they last??? who picks up the bill for a major body panel failure?

Looks like I'll start doing 40K mile Bronco rotations ...

Sheeeeeeiiiitt, if you want a painted modular with the washer hook up and you want it delivered to my neck of the woods, its $7,600. Maybe if you were burying someone in it, but not for the back of a truck. Ridiculous.

Depends on what the work is. Dealerships love to beat money out of the mothership. ;)
