Has anyone had stress cracks on the back of the hardtop? Its a 2022 - 2 door. Multiple stress cracks about the back window. Thanks for the feedback. Pics arent great but the cracks are there.

Welcome to the club unfortunately. Many owners have had hard top cracks, me included, in process of waiting for rear piece to come in, middle section (4dr) already came in. If you haven’t checked already, a common place for cracks is around rear side windows. Sometimes searching from above will be more noticeable. If you’re still under 3-36 yr warranty dealer should replace it.

I have some on my side windows and have been waiting for a replacement for about a month. I had it checked out during my shock recall, and it was relatively painless to get approval. The issue seems to be that Ford is dealing with a lot of these right now.

I hope your warranty process is smoother than mine. So far, Ford has sent a bracket that supposedly "fixes" the cracks, even though they originally authorized a replacement.

Yes also had some on my 2022 hardtop that I found back in early 2023. Barely got it replaced mid September of this year before the warranty expired.

Yep, my 22 had the same. Had them above both rear side windows as well as the rear window. Ford replaced, at first, under warranty, but now has somehow denied the claim, so my dealership is holding my roof panels hostage.

Where do you see these cracks on your 2Dr? Towards the back, mid-way, or towards the front of the back window.

I checked mine a few days ago and so far so good. Sept. 2022 build... on the Bronco.

Just got an update and Ford did finally send the hardtop, but the dealer will need to remove the glass from my current top to put them in the new top. Just waiting on availability in their service department, so good chance to get this fixed.

If you have a headliner in your current one, make sure the dealership orders a new headliner. It doesn't come with the replacement MIC top and you don't take the current headliner out and put it in the new MIC top.

These usually benefit the lawyers. Most firms do a cash settlement and only a small portion is distributed to the victims.

Indeed but it's better than "it's out of warranty and f&$# you very much".

1000% AGREE ON THIS. My dealer neglected to order the headliner for me, what a PITA!

Class action lawsuits are always worth it because there's little cost or commitment to enroll. Yes you won't likely receive a large payout but in the case of automakers they end up costing the manufacture typically millions. This is required to keep automakers honest or what's to prevent Ford from putting out another underbaked transmission like the PowerShift in your next Ford. That transmission was a flawed design that never should have been released and it ended up costing Ford hundreds of millions in settlements and compensations. As with the PowerShift transmission, it's clear the MIC top design is flawed and while owners will never receive full compensation, you can at least inflict pain on Ford and you can bet that the next gen Bronco will have a different top which will be better for future consumers, maybe yourself included if you get another Bronco one day.

I called the dealer yesterday and they said they are still working on it because Ford didn't send the headliner.... Thank you for the heads up. Hopefully this helps anyone else make sure all the parts are in before dropping off their bronco so they aren't stuck in a loaner for weeks like I am. could be worse, but I miss my bronco.
