That looks really interesting and a nice perk, but with the embossed logos, how would you apply the paint and clear coat to achieve a true color match? Seems like I could get paint matched to the Ford color code, but in the past, the clear coat has changed the depth quite a bit.
After looking at it more, I am wondering whether the brackets are new or the bolts were just lost during installation and replaced with new ones. I know they said Ford sent them brackets originally, but I can't find anything new if those aren't the new brackets.
That is what caught my eye when I picked it up. I may switch those out at some point for some black SHCS, but I am not sure if that rear one has clearance for anything other than a hex with the roll bar so close.
Here are the bracket pictures. I know they said Ford originally just sent the bracket to "Fix" the issue, so it has to have a PN, but I don't know what it is. Also, the rear latch section appears different, but I might be forgetting something since it was almost a month ago that I dropped it off.
Just got it back from the dealership, and the replacement needed a new rear glass and seems to have a redesigned rear section. I haven't had time to give it a thorough look over, but I didn't see any cracks in the usual spots. They also added a new bracket that connects the top to the roll...
I called the dealer yesterday and they said they are still working on it because Ford didn't send the headliner.... Thank you for the heads up. Hopefully this helps anyone else make sure all the parts are in before dropping off their bronco so they aren't stuck in a loaner for weeks like I am...
Just got an update and Ford did finally send the hardtop, but the dealer will need to remove the glass from my current top to put them in the new top. Just waiting on availability in their service department, so good chance to get this fixed.
If you are willing to ship the Fox shocks off the 4D wild track, I’ll take them. I have a friend in Oceanside that I may be able to talk into picking up and have him handle shipping as well, but he will be out of the country for a few weeks.
I have some on my side windows and have been waiting for a replacement for about a month. I had it checked out during my shock recall, and it was relatively painless to get approval. The issue seems to be that Ford is dealing with a lot of these right now.
I hope your warranty process is...
