hard top cracks/ complete top or sections replaced by Ford?

My 2023 2 door has cracks on the side window s around the glass. If Ford covers these cracks will they replace the whole hardtop or just the cracked pieces?

The rear clamshell is all one piece.
They won’t replace the front removable panels unless there’s an issue with those also.

Yes, if you have cracks on the side, the whole clamshell has to be replaced. The sides are not removable or replaceable by itself.

Fading is not a warrantable issue. So unless there’s a different actual warrantable issue with the front panels, they will not be replaced.

That’s not something I can answer for you. Totally up to you. Some tops are good, some tops are bad. It’s luck of the draw.

I’d get the top warrantied because you know the one you have is bad and there’s a chance the new one might be good. Even if it’s bad you’ve lost no ground.

Edit: and check the new top right away as some of them come messed up straight from the factory.

I had my mid-panel replaced under warranty. The cracks in the rear clamshell were not bad enough yet to claim they said. Now I have a lightger mid-panel than the front and rear. So, 8 months later the cracks have gotten worse and the midpanel is showing the composite pattern. I'm hoping for a full top replacement, or nothing will match. What a mess.

Get it replaced. I had mine replaced a month before my warranty expired. The cracks will only get worse every time they get exposed to water. Make sure to inspect the new one before you leave the dealership.

This is my second top, 2023. I take it back in Monday. This is extremely disappointing. I have followed all of the care recommendations.
