I've had 2 coyotes. First was my 2014 Mustang GT. When I sold it to a buddy it had 250k miles on it and still ran like new. He has it up to 290k and he finally had to replace the clutch. It's still really, really strong.

My current daily is a 2020 GT/CS with every box ticked. My son claims it's a 1 of 1 car. It now has 108k and still drives like new.

From a sales standpoint that's a horrible idea. It's far too reliable! They don't break!

If they had the option it would be sitting in my driveway instead of the 3.7 I have now.

Did anyone even mention the fact that the 2.7 puts out as much torque as the 5.0, but 2000 RPM LOWER?

2.3 and the 2.7 are both excellent engines. I couldn't imagine going back to the 351w and c6 that my 1989 bronco came with. Ya, it sounded good with long tube's and a cam but is no comparison to the 2.7 and the ten speed. 3 speed life sucks. Not to mention fuel economy.

Coyote is a great engine as well, but is best suited to a light car like the mustang. In an f150 nothing happens till 3500 to 4000 rpm which to me is not ideal for a truck. Also at the dealership I work at, it's one of the most replaced engines behind the 7.3 and 1.5. At least the gen 3. My old man has a gen 1 and its been great.

Never seen a 2.7 replaced. Very few 2.3s either.
My northerly neighbor from the sovereign nation of Canada has this right. I have a 5.0 in my truck and the Bronco 2.7L spanks it. A 5.0 would need a blower to compete but who wants a 2-door that has to fill up everyday and requires premium? Boy, it does sound good doing all that revving, though 🤠

There's a reason Fords top tow package in the F-150 has a 3.5 ecoboost and not a 5.0 coyote Not that the 5.0 is bad--and old school thoughts of "no replacing cubic inches" is not good in theory but the benefits of the V-6 in daily driving will eventually cause the demise of the V-8. Fortunately ford has resolved the oil consumption issues with the V-8 but the additional weight and fuel consumption will be it's demise.

So long as we’re dreaming, can I just get a Toyota 4.0L V6 swapped into my 2door base? In my dreams, I sidestep Ford’s reliability issues completely.

A classic idiom, but why does it have to be a hand? A bucket, a shoe, Johnny Depp's bed - there are unlimited options here.
You have exposed the limits of my imagination. Color me intrigued at the new possibilities

Who wants a 5.0 OEM swap along with a Tremec option for the stick folks?

The inline 6 says excuse me. Perfect balance by inherent design.
I could get behind a turbo inline 6, especially a diesel one like the early Bronco guy is swapping from a bimmer! The temporary open header on the 280zx turbo L6 I swapped into my Z car is still one of the sweetest things I've ever heard
