I am going to give you some very good advice. KEEP THE ONE YOU HAVE. You have modified it to your liking. Spent a lot of money. YOU ARE GETTING HOSED BY THE DEALERSHIP. You are throwing your money away. Have your existing top painted.
Yup, got a quote to get my current top painted for $800. My only other issue is that I don't really like the red color, but I wasn't entirely sold on the white one I was getting either. What I REALLY wanted was Antimatter Blue, but I wasn't going to put down 38k for a 2 year old first year Bronco with 40k miles on it.

The value will only get lower over the next few years. The model has hit it's mid life crisis stage, bronco is no longer the new thing and not very economical to own. The huge constraint issues early on also mean most used Broncos don't have the desirable options like the new ones. Very few people are looking at new broncos let alone used ones with Toyota rolling out all updated vehicles.

I am working on buying a F150, dealers have a lot of inventory and only want trades in the $15-25k range. The whole point of taking a trade in right now is getting something they can easily off load. They seem to be more interested in cutting me a deal if I trade my used 150k 2016 F150 in.

Are you a 2-dr or 4-dr buyer? I know of a 2-dr AMB WT with very low miles (was used for trade shows for their shop). They have been entertaining the idea of selling.

Yeah, I'm thinking it obviously makes more sense to hang onto this one. The bigger refresh is said to be coming next year and if there is a Hybrid version I might just order one of those. And if there's a new Antimatter Blue version I'll def. order that!

Since I've already owned two Wildtraks I just had it in my mind that it'd be nice to have one of the last Wildtraks off the line and to hang on to it.

In my mind the Raptor is a whole nother story. It's highly different from a "normal" high end vehicle because it's too damn wide and too damn tall for day to day application. That reduces the buying audience by a huge amount I would guess.

That’s just brutal. Last year I traded in a 2023 Bronco OBX 2 door 2.7 adv 4x4 high package and tow package with 5,900 miles and an MSRP of $51k (paid $40k). Dealer gave me $49k for it.

A lot has changed in this past year.

Too many pages to read, I just wanted to add about the expense of adding PPF - that probably accounts for almost half of your 15,000 and that has very little value to anyone.

It's one of those things that sounds better than it really is, when you weigh the cost to value/benefit.
Good luck finding someone willing to pay for it once it's already applied to a vehicle.

I'm sure people already spoke to the fact that it's been leveled. Hell I would never buy anything lifted /leveled.

Honestly, like others have said, historically you would get hosed if you wanted to trade out of a vehicle in less than maybe 3 to 4 years. The market was truly bizarre from late 2020 through late 2023 when the bottom really started to fall out.

The big MSRP increases for awhile helped to keep things going. Obviously your car is going to depreciate less if it costs $10k more for an equivalent model 1.5 years later also.

This is all crashing to earth now. Vehicles can be had for 10 to 20 percent below MSRP in some cases and folks who bought high in late 2020 through 2022 are often finding out just how screwed they are.

I figure my Raptor lost $10K off the $15k discounted price I paid the second I drove it off the lot. I hope to keep it for at least 5 to 6 years though and hopefully near 100k miles so I am not that worried about it...

I just do not get spending $15k on mods to just trade your car in 18 months either to be honest... Mods are great, but the value is in the custom factor and you definitely get more bang for the buck with each year that passes

New car out the lot is automatically 20% hit. Unless you brought it new with the already depreciation baked in or it's high demand low production vehicles.

I won't swap for same ride just because of colors...

In theory accessories are cool factor and usually worth 10-20% of total value.

Next lets say the new price is 60k and taxes at 10% thats $6000. If they offer you 45k for your trade that is subtracted the from price which will be at $15k (=60k-45k), so tax would be $1,500. So you save $4500 in taxes.

Basically, your true trade in is 49.5k
That math works only in certain states.

I was offered the same by dealer. 23 obx with 11k miles....44k$ i had a brand new one come in on order but 44k was too low of a trade.

I was not that mad as this is natural depreciation
