Heated Leather Wheel - Any Way to Add After Delivery?

The heated steering wheel appears to be part of the SCCM, so as long as you can connect the appropriate clockspring output to the SCCM, then all should be good to go.

C2406A & C2406B connect to C218E on the SCCM. The SCCM communication is through the CAN network to the HVAC panel.

See attached picture for the wiring diagram.

The switch is on the HVAC module.

The only way to get a new SCCM is with a new clock spring and multifunction switch.
You can get the clock spring separately, but not the other way around.

I wish I could somehow transfer mine to you. I live in PA but have never even used it.

Maybe I'll try it out this year on the cold mornings we have.

Now what I really want is to get in my Bronco on our upper 80s/lower 90s humid days in the summer after work and just be able to have some instant blast of cold; though the AC kicks in relatively quickly in these things. I'd trade in all the heated stuff for ventilated/cooling stuff in an instant.

Here in the Rockies I’ve ended up surprised by the comfort of heated steering. But I fully agree on a cooled seats (and wheel) option in summer. You’d think 105 degree arid heat here would be worse than high 80’s w/humidity, but I lived back east long enough to know better.

So to confirm, M2DZ-3F791-AC is the correct part number for SCCM/Clockspring combo for a 2023 Badlands High?

The parts listing I found says "without heated rear glass, with heated wheel" which I assume is a copy and paste from an F150 or something with a defrost button on the wheel.

There’s like 6 different part numbers depending on options. Give me a VIN of one that has what you’re looking for.

The ford catalog says the same thing. So I’m guessing the heated rear window makes a difference. It’s not just copied from an F150

The rear heat is on the HVAC control, and all the hardtops would have it, so I can't really see why it would be a factor for the SCCM/Clockspring on the Bronco.

I think the headed rear glass is referring to whether it has a hardtop or not. Which I think would change the multifunction switch on very early models.

SOB, I think I figured it out. It's the damn rear wiper washer. That's the difference on the multifunction between soft top and hardtop/hardtop prep Broncos. Why that gets characterized as rear heat is another mystery.

Yep. Early 21’s that were ordered with a soft top didn’t have the hard top prep package. So they didn’t have a rear wiper/heated rear window at all.

I completely agree with you. My goal is a little more stubborn. I just want to see if it can be added to my High package. B&O sound is terrible. I’ve never liked ACC. Adding a heated steering wheel is more of a challenge after watching it be done to the Mavericks. Plus I can sell off my old parts to those base or ‘22 models.
