Mid-Engine Mustang Debuts Thursday

I checked my calendar, it's not April. And while not a direct "competitor" of the Bronco, it will be competing for my mod dollars (well, if it is priced as a Z06 competitor and not a GT replacement). Who is ready to jump back on that crazy reservation train with me?

So... It's a link to a forum quote with a link to R&T that doesn't mention mid-engine. Then if you scroll down there's another link in another post saying there *could* be a "mid-engine Mustang" built by Multimatic, but it isn't based on the S650 chassis. And Frankie Muniz iz excited.

My guess? Ford wants to play in the GTE class with WEC and IMSA, so they'll sell the homologation minimum and try to win their class at le Mans. You won't be able to buy one unless you're on "The List."

well...it was a pipe dream, there weren't that many GT's sold anyways.
As close as I got to one was my wife's colleague and it never left the garage.
You are right about "the list" then wait for one to roll around on Barrett-Jackson

Hmm...looks like some stealth edits by Admin to promote a sister site? I had linked to an article from Ford Authority.

And yes, the more I read between the lines, built by Mulimatic, not S650 based, the more it leads me to believe it will be more Bronco DR than BRaptor.

Multimatic and Ford have worked together many times in the past as well. I can remember the debut of the 4.6 MOD motor and Multimatic was always racing one, that was 1996.

Just thought I would throw that connection in there.
