Sport mode won't make you faster, what you did was race a car that, with a skilled test driver, on a prepared track, when it was new (nearly 40 years ago), is a mid 7 second to 60 MPH and maybe 90 MPH in the quarter mile. 4 decades and untold miles later, it might be a touch tired.

Anyway, As any 15 year old V6 Camry or similar family hauler will stomp you in a drag race, you might want to embrace the slow cruise of the Bronco as an alternative.

I'm not sure if his car had work done, it sounded louder but not obnoxiously loud. It didn't take much to make those cars run 13-14 seconds which is respectable for even today.

Those old slow “muscle“ cars sure sounded fast though. My brother had an 83 Z28 with about 190 HP I think. It sure seemed fast as a teenager.
My first supercharged Grand Prix in 97 was faster than any factory GTO from the 60's. My Bronco is faster than that, and it's not just the loudness coming through the softtop

But hey, I won an impromptu street race between stoplights back in 74, my 70 1/2 Camaro 6 with 2 speed auto against a Pymouth 340 Duster. Fat tires, wet pavement and I left him in the mist

My first car was a 1970 Mercury Cougar.
I found and installed a 351 Boss, Headers, 780 Holly, dual point, 390 posi 9" rear end and a mild lift cam. I blew up 2 FMX trannies before putting in a built up C6.
Sounded super mean but put out 375 hp tops.
My son has a 2014 Mustang with the 5.2 Cross Crank Voodo with an 88 mm turbo, a beefed up 5 speed, rear end, drive shaft and suspension. Last time he dyno'd it put out 1175 hp.
He plays with the Dodge Charger Boys.

I have a 2019 Mustang GT with Performance pack 1 @ 460 HP and I can't imagine getting traction for much more but they do, crazy! My 2020 F250 Tremor with 6.7 and a Banks Petal Monster is faster than my 83 Mustang was lol.

Don't know about stomp when posted times for a 2007-2012 Camry VE 6 are almost identical to 2021 V6 Bronco at 5.9 0-60 and 14.2 in the quarter. I looked it up. More like a draw unless the Toyota driver flinched at what is racing beside him.

And just because an Odyssey blows past you at 80mph does not mean it is track worthy

The 2.7 will when massaged by an approved and warranty covered specialist like Hennessey put out 400hp. Do you need more than that while rock crawling at 5 mph?

I had a brand new stock Fox Body Mustang LX 5.0 back in the early 90's. It was a very quick car in it's day- 0-60 in 6.4. As already stated, today, not so much. The 5.0 Mustangs today do that in 3.9-4.4 (auto, manual). Insane fast. That even beats my 400 HP 2006 C6 Corvette. Still 0-60 in 6.4 is respectable today in a 4 X 4 off road vehicle. It will for sure keep up with traffic and not get dusted by the Chevy Sparks, Toyota Corollas, etc. and other appliance vehicles.

Why? Do you have personal experience dealing with them or their products?
