Did you switch computers? There is a different hardware ID that is generated if you change computers. I have not run into an issue of Forscan not recognizing the license through the load license button until I switched laptops.
I did switch to another, after I could not get it to recognize on the first. I will try again, by verifying the hardware ID first. Thank you!

If you haven’t already done do, you will need to submit for another license using that ID for the new computer.

Thank you! What program did you use to save the license? I fear that was my first error in the process. I saved as a Notepad file, assuming I would copy/paste the license key.

You shouldn’t have to save anything in a different format. Just download the key from the link Forscan provides and point to that file within the Forscan software.

I had to select a program. The save button was not active, until I did.

I have evidently botched the entire process. I am seeing now, that I should have registered for the FORScan forum, which I did not do. As I attempt now, I am being asked for "Model, engine type and capacity/power, year". No answer I provide seems to satisfy that question. Initially, I received an email from FORScan with a link to open FORScan site page, with download. When I click the link, I am taken to another tab with a link that says "Download extended license key". Even when I go to FORScan in the "About" section, and click "Load license key", locating the key, and loading, FORScan still does not recognize the key. I wish I could just delete everything, and start all over. I do not even know if that is an option at this point. FORScan is not available for support for the time being, and you cannot even purchase licenses.

I guess I’m not sure what you are doing. Are you trying to modify your current license?
I figured out where I was messing up. Just disabled double honk, auto start/stop, and added all GOAT modes. Thanks for your help!

I’m looking for some help. I had some problems with the Elm 327 scanner, so I sent it back and purchased the OBDlink ex. I uninstalled Forscan and tried to remove the drivers for the original scanner tool, reinstalled Forscan and loaded the new OBDlink. The Forscan program loaded up and I installed the new license. When I open Forscan the program still shows the old scanner and I can only pull up a limited amount of modules, actually the only useful module to show up is the IPC module. I tried removing the driver software from the old scanner but obviously missed something. Any ideas on how to proceed?

Sounds like ForScan left some config files behind when you uninstalled. I ran into a similar issue but forget the exact fixes I did but I’m pretty sure it was going into the ForScan settings and selecting the correct device in the menus. But again it was a while ago so I forget exactly what or where to point you to

Thanks, I’ll give that a try.

I just tried going to the dealer to have them change my tire size to standard sasquatch - since the tires I have came from a sasquatch. They flat out said no. I'm ready to give Forscan a try, but scared with all the ups and downs people are having. Could someone lead me to the link to buy the thingy that plugs into the truck and also to the link for signing up for forscan and downloading software. I'm a bit overwhelmed...

I’ve seen a person or two having the same issue I have, but no solution so far. When I go into the IPC section to disable the chimes, it keeps giving me the “service procedure interrupted” error. It worked fine on the Body BcS module and I could disable the double honk, but anything I try to do in IPC gives me the error. I’ve got the OBDLink EX that everyone else seems to use, I’ve downloaded and reinstalled Forscan and the updated drivers and firmware for the cable. Anyone have any thoughts?

Are you on the latest beta and/or have you tried creating a new profile when you connect (instead of clicking the saved profile you’re currently using).

It’s usually either of those.
