I'd install it first. Not everyone has issues with the mount and vibration. You might be the lucky one.

I will attempt to make something right away out of aluminum purchased from Home Depot. I will trace an outline from the oem piece and cut it out. My Tripro arrives today in the mail. So when I get home from work I will get on that.
Please share once you do this. I'd love it if a metal replacement was available.

So my G900 Tripro showed up yesterday and I only had time to remove the stock mirror and put the new one on. Nothing is wired. Just driving today to work and back, I am definitely experiencing vibration that was not present on the OEM stock mirror. I did not find a piece of aluminum at Home Depot that I felt like was thick enough. So I did not trace out the plastic piece. Also after seeing the plastic piece firsthand, it will need some additional engineering. I have an acquaintance of mine that is a machinist, I wonder how much he would charge to make that piece out of aluminum, rather than just using a straight piece of aluminum sheet metal.

Anyone have a way to figure out thread size and pitch on the screws? The ones that screw the oem plastic plate to the back side of the display are smaller than the screws that attach the center mount to the plastic plate. I found the dimensions of the plastic plate on Wolfbox's website. 5.35" x 2.4". Some considerations, the corners of the plastic plate sit down in the back of the display. Would need to figure out a rectangle spacer to take up that space and then those screws would need to be longer. I am looking at a 1/8 inch plate to start with.
