I did look at the HOSS 3.0 kit from Ford Performance. It looks really nice, but is quite a bit more expensive. The reality is I'm likely done with dune driving until next spring, so I have some time to figure things out.
I think you're correct, and I am considering the 5100s. The main reason I am still considering takeoffs from a Badlands is I watched a video from Shock Surplus that compared the 5100s to the HOSS 2.0 suspension, and they specifically said they preferred the feel of the HOSS 2.0 setup for faster...
I don't have a problem with additional lift if it's a byproduct of installing something that will upgrade the ride. I just didn't want a lift for the sole sake of increasing the ride height. I also would prefer not to increase the height to a point where I'd also need to upgrade other components...
What are your thoughts on a set of Badlands Sasquatch takeoffs? I've found a set of those, but am not sure if it would be too much of a lift without doing other mods as well. If it matters, they're from a 2.3L 2-door (same as mine).
I've been looking around for some Badlands non-sas takeoffs, and I have a question I'm hoping someone can answer. How many miles would be considered "too many" to consider purchasing? I've found one pair that came off a 2021 with around 14k miles. That's more than some of the others I've found...
I actually just went out this afternoon to finally clean out the rest of the sand from inside the vehicle. I shot some compressed air down in the opening of the lever, but I can't really see much to tell whether it's doing anything. Hard to tell if it's made a difference yet since it seems to be...
A couple weeks ago I started noticing an issue with my front passenger seat. Specifically, with the lever that is used to move the seat out of the way to get in the back seat. It started becoming difficult to pull, and it definitely gives more resistance than the driver's side. The only thing I...
Thank you for this incredibly detailed response! I'll admit, I had to go do some additional research to understand some of what you were talking about, but I really appreciate the info. I didn't know that upgrading suspension also meant increasing ride height by its nature. I appreciate the tip...
Is there a way to arm/disarm the system other than locking/unlocking the vehicle? I don't have the led, but just assume that it's armed when I locked the car, and disarmed if the car's unlocked.
I’ve been out to Silver Lake a handful of times now and realized dune running is what I actually enjoy most, more than rock trails or general overlanding. I want to start building around that specifically going forward. My rig is a 2024 Bronco Black Diamond, 2-door, 2.3L, non-Sasquatch.
I’ve...
I'm bumping this because I still haven't figured out whether the issue I'm seeing is an issue that I should bring up with a dealer while I'm still under warranty. Has anyone seen or heard of a similar issue?
Pardon my ignorance, but I don't really know much about these kinds of products and how they work. From a functional standpoint, is there any difference between this and the Panda Power Module? Are the Maps custom made by Lethal and Panda (and would be different between the two products), or are...
I've thought about something like the PeakDo LinkPower, but I don't think it would work with my American Adventure Lab mount. Not sure I want to completely rethink my mount setup.
Curious if anyone has experience using the factory pre-run wires (the non-powered ones that run between various locations in the Bronco) to power accessories directly, bypassing the upfitter switches entirely.
My goal is to power a Starlink Mini hardwired with my own inline switch so I can run...
I bit the bullet and bought one. The difference in sound is huge! I can’t speak for everyone in saying it’s worth the $600 if you already have something like the Steeda, but if the drone or loudness of the Steeda bothers you at all, I can safely say the MRT is much quieter and all but eliminates...
