Well the short answer is yes, you can go without spacers but I do not think it is a good idea. The reason why is in the bottom of that hole where the spacers go, there is a brass insert in the plastic. If you start cranking down that plate without an insert, I worry with a tight enough screw you...
There are cutouts. If I were you I would take the screen off your vehicle and look at the space. It is somewhat hard to explain what the cutouts would be needed. With that said the spacer can be made a little smaller in length and should work.
honestly, something like this would be better to make the spacers out of. I was just in a hurry to get this done yesterday. Note the dimensions (in mm) in the photos below. I went with a thickness of 1/4" ...
Solved the screen vibration issue. see below photos. I used a sheet of aluminum plate that is .09 inch thick (2.29 mm). I used spacers that are .25 inch thick to seperate the display from the aluminum plate. The cap screws that hold the plate to the display are M2-.4mm by 12mm long. The cap...
I am also having vibration with this OEM mount, and yes I have tightened the set screw as much as I dare. All the other screws are also as tight as I dare. I am considering making a new plate out of aluminum 1/8 inch thick. Some things would have to be figured out like what thread size and pitch...
Anyone have a way to figure out thread size and pitch on the screws? The ones that screw the oem plastic plate to the back side of the display are smaller than the screws that attach the center mount to the plastic plate. I found the dimensions of the plastic plate on Wolfbox's website. 5.35" x...
So my G900 Tripro showed up yesterday and I only had time to remove the stock mirror and put the new one on. Nothing is wired. Just driving today to work and back, I am definitely experiencing vibration that was not present on the OEM stock mirror. I did not find a piece of aluminum at Home...
I will attempt to make something right away out of aluminum purchased from Home Depot. I will trace an outline from the oem piece and cut it out. My Tripro arrives today in the mail. So when I get home from work I will get on that.
Can the OEM bracket be 3D printed to make a stronger one? or can someone make that piece that is plastic out of aluminum? Seems there is something that can be done to make this stronger.
Well I pulled the trigger on the Wolfbox G900 TriPro cabin version with Extended pack. I have a Wiltrak with Lux so I already have the front facing camera.
Hi Guys, hoping to make a decision soon been looking at the reviews but just not sure what to pull the trigger on.
Kind of leaning to the Wolfbox TriPro but not sure.
Help me make my decision.
I have a 2023 Wildtrak with Lux so I already have 360 cams.
Just seems like there are more crazy...
