  1. Could rocking back and forth when stuck break your front differential.

There is no reason for anyone to be harsh as we all started somewhere/sometime. I started 4 wheeling back in the mid 80's and made so many mistakes and put myself in a lot of bad spots as I learned. A few general recommendations not directly related to your original issue. Attend a Bronco...

  4. Bikini top that provides some rain protection?

I have a small squeegee I got off amazon for like $5 that I keep in the Bronco. You can just pop open the tailgate and squeegee it out or you can just pull the drain plug if it gets out of hand. I have the Rain Gear, Trail Cover version, and only use it for my overnight camping trips. It's...
  5. Bikini top that provides some rain protection?

I've been using the BroncoBikini for 2+ months now and I live in the PNW where it rains, rains, and rains some more. My hard top is in an off site storage unit as I do not have room for the hard top in my garage. I've been driving for 2+ months in rain with just the bikini on. If you park in...

Met up with @WillRCTID and @OregonMike for a fun day on the trails. Awesome people and awesome times. Probably could use it's own thread as I believe they have more, and better images. Videos taken by @WillRCTID Photos: Videos:

2W does not need a license. a 5W needs an FCC GMRS Radio license. I'd recommend a 5W radio and get the license.. Here is how to get the GMRS license: https://rockytalkie.com/blogs/rocky-talkie-blog/how-to-get-a-gmrs-license?

  11. 🤦Lost my wheel lock key, any McGard gurus on here?

Most tire shops will have a variety of wheel lock adapters on hand. I'd call or swing by a few and ask..

For packing, I don't fold the rear seats down and use the area between the back of the front seats and the front of the rear seats to pack it full and sandwich gear in-between them.. I don't pack anything so it sits above the body line. Here is everything with it's packed location. I can snap a...

I can still hear that cringy dial up tone followed by "You've got mail" LOL I have a www.broncobikini.com canvas bikini and it's great! It's canvas, not mesh, so it'll keep most of the rain out. I've had mine on a almost 2 months now in the PNW where it rains quite a bit and have not had any...
  14. My Gifford National Forest Camping and 4x4 Trip: (photo HEAVY)

I think @WillRCTID is only going to stay for half a day but I'll probably be there the entire day. So if you can make it, we can continue to explore after he needs to leave..
  15. My Gifford National Forest Camping and 4x4 Trip: (photo HEAVY)

I'll be there.. I have a 12K winch and recovery gear. Also have a GMRS radio and a Garmin inReach Mini in case disaster strikes.. Also, I can contribute air to air back up. My power tank should have enough left to fill about 12 more tires..
  16. My Gifford National Forest Camping and 4x4 Trip: (photo HEAVY)

I plan on doing the WA BDR section one maybe towards the end of June... Section 1 ends right at Packwood so we could meet up and check that area out for the day if you were still interested..

The trail cover? Yeah, it's mainly to keep any overnight rain, dew and critters out since I roll topless (I do have a canvas bikini on) for a large part of the year. Back in the late 80's I was overnight camping in my topless CJ and the next day when I was leaving a rather large snake came...

Awesome.. You bet, I'll shoot you a PM and we can plan a meet up for a quick day of exploring. I prob won't overnight camp and will head home in the evening. I found several sweet dispersed sites but due to the rain, water accumulation and mud they were not habitable.. Well, maybe for you...
