I really have to chuckle at all of this. My son in now 17 and 17 years ago when he was born I was driving a TJ. For those that do not know a TJ ONLY comes in a 2DR. While he was an infant I had no problems putting him in the back. As he got older he learned how to climb in and out of the back through the front door. Now that I have a 2DR Bronco he still doesn't complain when he has to ride in the back, neither does my wife, they climb in with no complains. If they complain they can stay the hell home. 😁

Never could quite understand the more door crowd. You all take the ribbing to seriously. If you want more doors then fine but as for me I will learn to live with 2. Kinda' like learning to live with the double honk. I just put the key in the console and it never double honks. I do the same in the wife's Exploder. I guess it is just me, instead of complaining I just adapt and overcome.
Nah, we get the jokes. We just wonder why people that prefer two doors seem to always have negative comments about people that prefer 4 doors. Me personally, I throw stuff in the back seat everyday. It's a hassle for me to have to flip the seat up just to get stuff in and out. It's also a pain for getting kids in car seats (glad those days are over) or having taller people get back there comfortably. And no, I don't want to go to the back and put stuff back there multiple times a day. Plus I get a bigger gas tank so I get to enjoy driving with fewer pit stops.

All jokes aside after reading about cracked windshields i bought the AVS AeroSkin II recommended here in that thread. Haven't had the chance to drive it with the top off but with the top on it does seem to cut the wind noise quite a bit. Looks good too.

That said you should consider something more aerodynamic like a Pontiac Aztek. Theyre quite versatile. Sure you might get pulled over and searched from time to time but as long as you don't shave your head they'll let you go.

The wind noise and turbulence is almost intolerable in this configuration. Why couldn't your sucky designers create a low-pressure slipstream that envelopes the cabin so I can ride around in quiet, still air? Huh? Tell me that. I lost 3 damn My Little Ponies off my dash last week! I should file a warranty claim!

My wife's co-worker's cousin's best friend's brother has a Jeep and he can ride around all day and all his ducks stay in row! You need to get your ducks in a row, Ford!

I swear this is my last Ford. Unbelievable.

** In all honesty though, thanks, Ford, for making the most fun vehicle I have ever owned. I just look for excuses to drive this thing. Grinning the entire time when I do.

not to mention how much rain it lets in, don't get me started on cold air in the winter.

I like to think of it as a little familial ball bustin' mixed with size envy

With so much fun to be had with our Bronco, even just looking at it brings along a smile. As for the wind noise? Every rock concert was loud, deafening, but worth every minute!

I am pleasantly surprised how little wind noise there is with the roof off. Around town up to 50mph or so with windows down it is so much fun. On the interstate I will raise the windows and can still converse without shouting. I live in SoCal so the roof is off March - November. Totally different experience driving - with roof on, it’s kind of meh.

top off doors on is the way to go.
Got my door bags in from IAG yesterday. Doors are coming off for the first time this weekend. Not sure if I'll like it or not. I do like the security of windows up and doors locked when parked in public, but just have to try doors off to see what it is like.

To follow up: finally drove it and at 127 there's almost no wind noise at all with the deflector.

They make the 2 door version for people who don't have friends. Ford was very smart there: marketing to normal people AND introverts at the same time!
I conned an excellent woman into marriage and my only friends are dogs. Im so OK with that, I tossed the back seats.

When I was born the only vehicle my parents had was a new 82 CJ8. Adding a 2nd kid to mom’s lap became a little cramped and it wasn’t around much longer, dad traded it for a K5.
