  1. Air pressure question

I chalked my Wildtrak SAS on factory Goodyears without the roof on (90% of the year in SoCal) and it worked out to 36psi front, and 34psi rear to give an even print across the contact patch. I leave it that way with the roof on too. I do have a steel cargo cover and tools in the back. Not...
  2. Saw this at Chick-fil-A today

Side note. I have hired several people whose first job was Chick-fil-a and was thoroughly impressed. I don't know what they teach them there but it translates into success later in their career (post doctorate in this case). Veterans too. I will hire a veteran every opportunity I have. They...
  3. Hardtop vs. Soft Top — What are you running this summer? ☀️🏜️

    No top...big flag :flag:
  4. OEM Wipers Not Cutting It — Best Upgrade?

No rain or bugs here, so my 3y/o original wiper blades are PRISTINE :ROFLMAO: I used Bosch on my vehicles when I lived in North Carolina. Not only cleared water and muck better but did not dry out as fast over time.
  5. Bronco newbie must have mods for mpg and wind sound

Take the top off and drive it like you stole it. You'll get 28 smiles per gallon
  6. Who hasn't had any cracks with their hardtops?

No cracks or bubbles. 2023 Wildtrak, 4-door, 16k miles, roof is hanging in the garage 9 months out of the year.
  7. Maiden Top Off Voyage - 60th Anniversary in Texas Hill Country

The Bronco is 11/10 with the top off. I loathe December and January when I have to put the top back on in SoCal  I barely drive it then! Totally different experience.
  8. Bronco Raptor security advisory

It's fine if I dent it, it's not okay when someone else does it! :ROFLMAO: It's the principle! As someone else said my other vehicles are nicer so it's ingrained to choose parking spaces wisely and be mindful of doors. I've only had one nasty door ding in the bronco and it was like $300...
  9. Bronco Raptor security advisory

Too far from the beach. Can't do it.
  10. Bronco Raptor security advisory

Exactly. Those nice cars probably think parking next to my Bronco at SNA is a door ding risk. I've seen Bentley's squeezed between two Escalades. I'm like, how does anyone get in/out?? Our spaces are too narrow for all the performance cars and trucks in there.
  11. Bronco Raptor security advisory

You can't have anything nice in Newark! It will get stolen or ruined. My Wildtrak attracts ZERO attention at SNA (Orange County). It is the sh!ttiest car in the garage  I left my rear passenger window all the way down on a 10 day trip and all my tools were still there when I...
  12. Less engine wear with premium fuel

I prefer Shell 93 in my performance vehicles. Sadly our Shell stations tops out at 91 in SoCal and prices for "premium"... well
  13. Real world gas mileage

26 smiles per gallon if you're driving it right.
  14. SHOW your SNOW

Worse, a glorified 20v weed eater! Lots here are so small the little grass I have doesn't even warrant a mower.
  15. SHOW your SNOW

Sunny and warm in SoCal today. Had to mow the grass for the third time this month.
  16. What is a really good portable air compressor for Bronco? Ford/Bronco nation offers a brand but pricey?

I've been using a Viair 300P. Built like a tank and small enough to fit under the backseat. My review and test here: VIAIR 300P Air Compressor Review I decided against on board air this time as I spend as much time airing up other vehicles as I do the Bronco. Portability won out.
  17. When to use 4A (AWD ?) vs. 4WD in snow?

The 4A system in my Wildtrak reminds me of the AWD system in our Land Rover LR4. Good for just about anything you would encounter driving on road. Even in unplowed roads I keep it in 4A. If/when that stops being effective I will switch to 4H but that hasn't happened yet. I do use 4H in the...
  18. Improve Sasquatch handling

My Wildtrak feels rather good for a lifted body on frame with 35's and SRA. It absorbs cracks and bumps like a champ and does not wander vaguely around the lane I'm driving in like my previous Jeeps. We have/had Range Rovers, CTS-V, M3, Escalade's and Jaguars so I can appreciate differences...
  19. So many posts about MIC tops with stress cracks, anyone out there have an older Bronco without cracks?

2023 MIC top, 14k miles and no cracks. Disclaimer: I’m in SoCal (beach city) and the top is hanging in the garage 9 months out of the year. 😁 I’m more likely to damage the roof taking it on and off than environmental damage. So far so good.
  20. MPG numbers after Ford Performance Tune on 2.7 Black Diamond

That's really good! My '23 Wildtrak SAS with the Ford Performance Tune averages 17mpg lifetime but my driving is closer to 20/80 highway/town in SoCal. Average speed is probably 35mph lol. I did notice driving all highway down to San Diego at 50-70mph I was averaging 24mpg so the potential is...
