Just as much as any other vehicle with recalls. They probably don’t in most cases.

They'd shit if they saw the daily broadcast messages! I was going to open a topic on message boards begging for a recall holiday. You know, like one day every month they don't have any recall announcements?

This is literally nothing new. Recalls are always announced in advanced before parts are available, the same as any other brand lol

A dealership can’t if there’s a delivery hold. Technically they can sell it, they just can’t deliver it to the customer.
Nothing prevents public sale or trade in of a vehicle with an open recall

Every single "insurance" company is the same. They (in most cases) will honor your claim, but they WILL jack up your premium and YOU will pay that claim in instalments. Might as well get a loan and fix whatever needs to be fixed without involving them (cheaper in the long run too).

Or be proactive and start a savings account for what an extended warranty would cost monthly.

Many of us work for large companies who are self insured and that’s basically what they do.

My Bronco has 116k miles, not a single day inop, and the AC still works, but it's no BMW.

My F-150 was very reliable too, even with the 1st gen 3.5 Ecoboost... but I just got done breaking it in at 255k miles.

Maybe there are more recalls on the upper models, the only one I give a crap about is the fuel pump. The software updates, seatbelt, and everything else are nonsense I could care less about. Go get a KIA or something if you don't think they have recalls. Good luck.

Last fall, October, I took a jeep in for a service with 5,000ish miles on it. Drove it away from the dealership, within a mile the Transmission locked into first gear and would not budge out of it. Dealership said, new Tranny. I got the jeep back in February this year. No loaner.

My wife purchased an BMW X5 last year. It was delivered to the dealership with a recall hold. Took over a month for BMW to correct a software issue. Wife was livid. It was to be her first new car in a decade, could not get her to budge out of her 335i. She loved that car.

It happens.

Na, that was up in Chicago. I drove it back to NC. A buddy of mine owns two Jeep dealerships. And he owes me a favor. Im not worried.

Don't quite understand, lemon law has nothing to do with independent dealership franchises. It's purely between you and manufacturer. If the car is off the road for generally 30 days or more, you're most likely entitled to compensation at a bare minimum for the loss of use during that period.

Can a recall be cleared on a specific vehicle without the work being completed?

I’ll never have the shock recall done since I replaced the OEM shocks, etc with full Icon Stage 8 suspension. It’d be nice not to see it but it’s just barely enough of a annoyance to waste your time and my time by asking.

Hey @Terry Tonka! I'm a fellow First Edition owner too. I made a post yesterday but you may have missed it.

The engine valve inspection test is currently 100% available at all Ford dealerships, like others mentioned earlier. If you want it checked out call your dealer and schedule an appointment. If your dealership tells you its not available then just reply to this thread and someone here will help resolve it.

You should only have 3 recalls (not 5) on your First Edition that cannot be repaired yet, and personally I have no concerns of "breaking down" from any of them (maybe slightly the fuel pump one but that was just issued 2-days ago).

Here's the ONLY recalls you should have that don't have a fix yet:

- Rear shock reservoir corrosion (I would not want to be in the vehicle behind if the reservoir fails)

- Rear camera software update

- Low pressure fuel pump

Mine is a 2021 First Edition. I have recalls that are over a year old that they still say they don't have parts for. Shocks for instance. Rearview camera is another. The main one is the engine recall.

Funny you mention that recall on the 1996 for brake master cylinder sensor recall due to fires. It was a problem on the OBS trucks too, as my 1996 F150 also had it and had the recall work done.
