Got another recall in the mail today. Boy they sure are piling up. I have about five of them now that cannot be repaired. Trying to get into my phone app to see exactly how many I have piled up but now it has me blocked out, but I was in it yesterday just fine and now it just has a Ford logo when I sign in and I can’t get past it. Tell me how you can have a couple of recalls for over a year and they still don’t have a fix for it. Engine failure, shock failure back up camera failure among other things, but I can’t get in there to see them all right now. That’s pretty convenient that it’s blocking me out of the app.
i’ve decided that Ford has the shittiest customer service of any car manufacturer around. They don’t give a shit about those of us that have already bought Broncos. They don’t have the parts to fix them, but they’re still making new Broncos to sell. It’s really too bad that someone from Ford does not monitor this form and try to help those of us who bought their products. They just leave us out in the cold and wait for us to break down and then what?
and then when you do take them in to be fixed, they take a week to fix a 30 minute repair and don’t have a loaner car for you so you’re paying for insurance car payments and everything else while they have your vehicle stuck in their shop. This will be the last Ford I ever buy. I will go back to Jeep next time.

I have the same pile of recall notices for my Badlands. I also have two Porsches (which cost > 3 times what the Bronco costs). Ford is better at customer service if that makes you feel better. Porsche rarely if ever issues recalls. They just pretend the problems don't exist.

A dealer would not sell a 2024 Badlands because it had active recalls.

I guess it kinda shows what Ford thinks of it's buyers in that they can almost immediately come up with a "fix" to keep cranking out vehicles at the factory......... but to all those who have ALREADY purchased their defective product they say "we HOPE to be able to fix your vehicle sometime in the distant future."

We haven't had a single recall on our 24 Badlands
Knock on wood no recalls for my base either. Fortunately it has the "premium" Hitachi shocks, so no leaks or parts falling off those.

  4. This will be the last Ford I ever buy. I will go back to Jeep next time.
  1. I only have 3 recalls (not 5) on my FE that cannot be repaired yet, and I have no concerns of "breaking down" from any of them (except maybe slightly the fuel pump one but that was just issued yesterday).
    - Rear shock reservoir corrosion (although I would not want to be in the vehicle behind me)
    - Rear camera software update
    - Low pressure fuel pump

  2. Are you implying that Ford Motor Company is purposefully "blocking" your FordPass app/account because of a few recalls? No issues with my FordPass app. Did you recently update or forget your account password again?

  3. Deep breaths.

  4. Is that a promise?

For every guy who says this, there's another guy who is never buying a Jeep again. Dude, even Toyota's engines are failing. This isn't just a Ford issue.

Just drive the car until the parts are available and get it taken care of.

If anyone bought a brand new model vehicle and didn’t expect some growing pains you weren’t being honest with yourself.

I have a couple recalls as well. I experienced the camera going out for the first time today - it came back on after shifting to park and back to reverse. Shocks haven't fallen off yet, but I only have 12K miles. I have a couple recalls on my Silverado that don't have parts either. In my limited experience, Lexus is best and BMW is worst.

Not just Ford. I survived the Jeep diesel 3.0 high pressure fuel pump recall. No Fix or even plan for over a year. For a year and a half i drove thousands of miles and hundreds of miles off-road. If the fuel pump went it was a catastrophic full engine failure. Never worried about it and never adjusted driving plans.

We have had a negative balance of trade deficit since 1977. For decades generations people have said, "we ought to do something about that...someday." But never, "now." Cheap oil in the 1970s-90s, cheap goods from Asia since then, it was just so nice to get all that stuff...cheap.
It was addictive. Coming off an addiction is painful.
That's what all this tariff stuff is about: forcing foreign entities to stop dumping their cheaply sourced products on the affluent American economy--namely, the American consumer. Yeah, it hurts, but ask anybody who kicked some monkey off his back if that was pleasant. Or easy.

We were told to "expect uncertainty." And we're getting just that, as manufacturers, distributors, and consumers adjust. And Ford is, too, as they figure out how to source (and price!) parts for both manufacturing and repair. This link ranks how vehicles rank for American-sourced parts. Note the high ranking of Hondas and Toyotas:

https://www.cars.com/articles/2024-...ndex-which-cars-are-the-most-american-484903/

Bronco comes in at 73 out of 100. This will hurt us as Ford works out US-based suppliers.

Back to economics: Lest my post be (mis)construed as "political," I emphasize that this deplorable matter has been going on through both parties' administrations: Lots of blame to go around here!

Last thought: An old economic maxim, "That which cannot go on forever...won't."

For generations we've been knowingly saddling our children, grandchildren, and their children with debt so we can enjoy cheap foreign-sourced goods. Time for that to stop.

It'll hurt.
