It's possible others are aware of cracks and are waiting until near the end of their warranty period (which doesn't make a lot of sense to me), or have cracks but haven't noticed them.
It's also very possible most just don't have cracks at all. I know a lot of people on here have had issues, but that doesn't necessarily make it as wide spread as everyone assumes.

Well, there's also the posts where people examined all the Broncos on dealership lots, and EVERY one of them had the cracks. Plus, the people (more than one) who went through 5 replacements. So, I'd wager otherwise.

I do that too whenever we get a new Bronco in off the truck, or have one come in for service if i have time to go look just out of curiosity and I have seen a few with some slight cracking.
But I work in one of the largest cities in the US and we've only replaced maybe 2? So you can believe what you'd like, but there's certainly nothing that suggests to me that it's everyone of them or even the majority.
I look at mine all the time expecting to start seeing cracks as it has sat outside for the last 3 years in Chicagoland weather, but it just doesn't have any. The only issue mine has (which it has always had) was slightly rough edges where the panels stop.

I never said that. I only said that there were batches of totally defective tops on dealer lots.

That would be a no.
What Ford should do is offer any owner of a defective MIC top the option to take the painted top and simply pay the difference between the two. I'd go for that just to get something more reliable.

My December '23 built Raptor that I took delivery of in March has seen cracking start, I was praying I was one of those who wouldnt see any, It was amazing how quickly it spread once I saw the first cracks.

I agree here with J-Lugster, make the other top available for an upcharge, I would pay it assuming it has a better chance at longevity. Going in Monday morning for local dealer to have a look. Will ask their thoughts on that. Do they replace the whole top or just the damaged part (the larger back cargo area on mine)??

When mine was being replaced the 1st time I started talking to a salesman that also had a 23 2dr so we went to check his out. He said he hadn't had any issues with his top but I quickly pointed out cracks starting on the lower corners of both passenger and drivers side windows. I walked over to the only two other 2drs on the lot and they had the same cracks starting. We have 3 2drs in the parking lot of my work and all of us have the same. Here is a pic of my replacement. While it does not show any cracking yet the waves and honeycomb showing through is a whole different kind of crap.

That is surprising Ducati. I live in PA, cold weather climate as well, been to three dealers and of the 20 or so on each lot at least a quarter of them, on each lot, had issues of some kind. Some small cracks, some honeycomb, some major cracks. I also think many people do not notice them, you know, sometimes you have to get "up close and personal" to see them. My dealer gave me the 😲o_O looks and said didn't know that was a problem. So then I said take a walk with me and I will show you the ones cracked on your lot. He was not cracking jokes after the walk. 😁 He said of all the Broncos they sold no one has been back to say anything other than me. I said because they don't see them, they are not looking for them, they do not expect it to be a problem.

Sorry to keep harping about this, it is a sore subject with me. This whole thing should have been solved long ago. It is just like the whole lie of "will build as close to reservation order as possible" that all of us early reservation holders got.

See @Ducati1098 šŸ‘†šŸ‘†šŸ‘†šŸ‘†šŸ‘†šŸ‘†šŸ‘†šŸ‘†šŸ‘† is exactly what I'm talking about some of the dealers have no clue. You are at a good dealer. Most couldn't give 2 shits.

Lol I never said there wasn’t an issue. Clearly some tops do have problems.

Someone asked earlier why dealers don’t seem to know what they’re doing when replacing tops or aren’t familiar with it…. Well maybe that’s because realistically there aren’t that many being replaced or it’s not as wide spread as people make it out to be.

The few polls I’ve seen posted on here about MIC top issues (A place where everyone and their mother will come on here to show their problems, yet nobody will ever post that they have a MIC top that’s perfectly fine) seem to support the idea that many people don’t have a problem. Just my observation, nobody needs to like it or agree with it šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

And sure, you can say it’s because people aren’t looking close enough or whatever, but I think enough people on here have taken a very close look at their top after seeing multiple other people having issues.

Well, I've seen people on here go check their top after reading the posts and then they find cracks. I'm one of those people. The number of people who read the MIC posts on this site is miniscule compared to the total number of Bronco owners, so who knows whether it's even a representative sample size.

I'm not looking to argue with anybody about a problem Ford/Webasto created. My only point is, there's anecdotal evidence that the problem is pretty widespread just based on the reports on this form. When you've got people replacing their top 5 times, something is going on. How widespread, not a single person on this forum knows. The only way to get that is through legal discovery.

This is literally a contradiction lol
First there’s not enough people to draw a conclusion, but then there’s enough for anecdotal evidence that it’s a widespread issue šŸ¤”

Correct. And just a reminder that I never said it was or wasn’t widespread.
I said just because some have had issues, doesn’t necessarily make it widespread.

Whatevs

People who know the meaning of "anecdotal" know what I mean. Anecdotal evidence is not the kind of evidence you can draw a statistical conclusion from. Nothing I said is a contradiction.

If you tried to draw a conclusion from a poll on this site, you'd think that at least 1 in 5 tops are cracked. But that is just anecdotal evidence. I wouldn't claim it's a 20% fail rate, but I do claim the problem is "widespread." There's no statistical definition of widespread.
